What's in DisneyQuest?

Post by IagoZazu »

I've heard and read about it before, but what is there to do in DisneyQuest? It's an indoor theme park with virtual rides, right?

I wanted to ask because I'm going to Disney World in a few days and it sounds like a lot of fun.

Yes, in addition to the higher profile stuff like "Cyber Space Mountain", there's a lot of classic 80's arcade video games, Skee-Ball, basketball shooting, etc. Everything in there is included with admission, and DQ is also part of the WDW Premium Annual Pass and they also sell a seperate AP just for DisneyQuest. So once you're in (by ticket or AP) all the games and attractions are free.

They also have a free internet cafe (with admission or AP) where I used to check my e-mail and other fan sites I read, until someone in management decided to block everything that wasn't an official Disney site. (they even blocked weather.com!) I haven't been in there in about two years (when I downgraded to a "regular" AP that just covers the 4 theme parks) so I have no idea if the net access is still blocked.

I'd say DQ is a fun way to spend some time at WDW. When it was on my AP, I could go in there for 30 minutes or so after the parks closed and play a few games and check mail - without feeling like I had to spend a long time in there each time to get my money's worth, since I wasn't paying the single-day admission.
