Well if they try to shove the WiP version on the first disc of the DVD set, again, wouldn't that mean those who buy the Blu-ray set would still be getting the WiP version? I'm not sure they can fit all of the bonus features on the second disc of the DVD set if they had the WiP version taking up room, which lead me to suspect they'll try the branching method again on the first disc.
The Beyond Beauty thing is really starting to look like Snow White's Hyperion Studios. This is certainly going to be the most complete set, I just hope when they say 'restored,' they mean they're restoring the colors back to the theatrical ones (as they can't actually clean up the picture being all digital).

I went to reserve the Alice and Wonderland Blu-ray today (first in line) and saw that my library has ordered the Beauty and the Beast Diamond Edition Blu-ray. They already have the Platinum DVD and it's cool to see them upgrading their older titles (they've done this with all the PIXAR titles available). It would be even cooler if I weren't buying this (never owned the DVD, only the VHS, so there is NO WAY I'm passing up this amazing new set).
Just though I'd share as they never bough Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, or Snow White on Blu-ray but this movie is just too popular for my library to pass up. Not to mention they like ordering these combo packs as they take the included DVD and rent it out separately, effectively getting two rentals for the price of one).

I actually read somewhere that the music video for this movie will be of Jordin Sparks singing "B&tB." Is this true? I'm not sure if I should trust Wikipedia.
If so, this is really shaping up to be a good release. Even the infamous music video won't be so bad. And here I was expecting Demi Levato or a Jonas.
(What hurts me is that TLM probably won't be so lucky when its time comes.
)
Edit: I checked again, and here's the source:

BBFC passed that, The Enchanted Christmas SE?
So is this an old episode from the TV series: "Sing me a Story with Belle"?
(Airdate: 7/10/95)
Stick to It (Don't Give Up)
Season 1 Episode 7
Village Postlady feels sick; ``Mail Dog'' (1947); ``The Brave Engineer'' (1950).
And then, a bonus episode from the Enchanted Christmas? Will this be a new episode?

I think Demi Lovato is a better singer to be honest. Though if they are going a conservative route with the song which I would prefer over a modernization then Jordin would probably be the better bet. I have a feeling if Demi Lovato did sing it they'd modernize the song and not have her sing it conservatively.Disney's Divinity wrote:I actually read somewhere that the music video for this movie will be of Jordin Sparks singing "B&tB." Well...I guess...we all have a right to our opinions.

I personally think the worst American Idol contestant (Sanjaya) would be better than any of the Disney stars.

I think I misunderstood this information.
So this means that there will be a new special edition of Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. And it will include a bonus episode from the TV series: "Sing me a story with Belle"
Am i right, now?
And when will this be released? This Christmas?

That's how I interpreted it. Makes me think they will also release a special edition of Belle's Magical World, maybe as part of a DVD trilogy set. The Beauty and the Beast Diamond Edition DVD won't be out until November, so I think if this was coming out to promote the DVD release, a Christmas time frame sounds about right.bruno_wbt wrote:I think I misunderstood this information.

Until now, I had completely forgotten about the Sing Me a Story with Belle TV series and I'd like to go on forgetting about it. I haven't seen any of the DTV sequels and I'd like to keep it that way.

Beauty and the Beast: Diamond Edition
From the press release:
"Beauty and the Beast helped define Disney animation for a new generation as the second film in the “Disney Animation Renaissance” (1989-1999) which launched with The Little Mermaid and revitalized animated features by captivating mature audiences while still delighting young viewers."
Really now? So when Snow White became the biggest box office success ever until that time it didn't captivate mature audiences? Right. None of the Disney films before The Little Mermaid did. Sure. They all only delighted younger viewers. Yea, okay.
Oh, Disney and the popular common mentality of people today...

It's a press release, it's meant to hype something up more than it is.
IIRC, the press release for The Lion King called it the King of Animated Movies and how the DVD will be the King of all DVDs. Even if there were superior DVDs that came before and after it.
