I still hope "Fraidy Cat" will be put back into production again. That sounded like an AWESOME project, with a cat in the lead role!

To this day, when posting Rapunzel topics on general pop culture blogs and websites like "Ohnotheydidn't" I get dozens of replies how they are bummed that Chenoweth is off the project. Well, she has been for over 5 years now LOL
You mean mandy moore? or was reese also attached at one point?

Eh, least Tinkerbell and Glee got Chenoweth.
Rapunzel has had three voices that I know of at least. In chronological order:

1. Reese Witherspoon
2. Kristin Chenoweth
3. Mandy Moore

From animationguildblog.blogspot.com on May 13 :

Visiting the hat building this morning, I got a taste of fresh Disney product ...

The flat-screen monitors in the lobby hallway have a big chunk of unfinished animation (and by unfinished, I mean that there's no lighting, texturing, or finaling.) Upstairs an animator said:

"We're working fifty-hour weeks, but it'd be nice to know what we're doing next.
"I think the picture is pretty good. It's a lot like a Broadway musical, like the features from the early nineties. Songs are good ..."
I have no idea about the overall quality of the feature, but from the finaled shots I've seen on first-floor computer screens, the art direction is gorgeous.

Pretty encouraging...

Hopefully the music isn't 70s cowboy songs.

Call me a hater, but to me that 2D clip-art has more spunk and life than the CG version.

I just really dont like rapunzel's face. Eyes too big, nose too pinchy, mouth just unnatural looking. Anyone else share the same sentiments?

Yes. I dislike her character design as well. The previous incarnation of her in the leaked footage years ago was much better.

Personally, I feel all the clipart has been horrendous and the only image I've legitimately liked was the still from the film with Rapunzel and Flynn (in which, it should be noted, we only see the side of her face), which is why I'm hoping the clipart is just a bad representation of the character and that she will look much nicer in the movie.

Nice find robster! Thanks. Could you please give us the link to the Italian forum too?

So far, it has been confirmed that France, Italy and Brazil will retain the title "Rapunzel".

I assume that other francophone countries will do the same, as well as Portugal (based on the fact it shares the same language with Brazil)

Btw the pic posted by Rob doesn't say anything new but the plot / synopsys you already know...It's a leaflet that has been distributed in Italy during a book exhibition and it clearly advertises the upcoming books, drawing albums, sticker albums and all the print merchandising tied to the movie...
It seems that we will also have a subtitle for the movie, something that sounds as "Rapunzel - The Tangle of the Tower"...

That's disturbing. And I don't get it about this, "The Last Tangled in Paris," thing. I think it is because Paris, France is going to be called, "Tangled," besides, "Rapunzel."

Really showing your age there. It's a take-off on the controversial Italian film Last Tango in Paris, starring Marlon Brando, in which he takes a piece of a butter and well...Here's the Wikipedia article for the film.
