Disney deals and Snow White posters this week at Best Buy

Post by slave2moonlight »

I don't know if this has already been posted, so I guess take this down if it has, but I thought I'd mention that Best Buy this week has a ton of Disney live-action for 5.99 and you can get a free Snow White poster with each one you buy. There are two Snow White posters, and they are replications of original Snow White posters, but they are unfortunately not full size posters. Also, I had to search the store for the box of posters, which was not displayed near the DVDs at all. Anyway, there are many titles for 5.99, from classics like the Herbie movies and Summer Magic to more recent stuff like Hocus Pocus, Rocketeer, Newsies, The Rookie, and so on. There were only a handful from their selection that I still needed, but I could only spare the cash for 2 (I'm hoping to be able to get the big Wizard of Oz set and the Batman Superman blu-ray Tuesday, plus the Selena Gomez CD at Target with the exclusive DVD content), so I came home with Flubber and Parent Trap (the Lohan one, though the original is on sale also, but I already have it) and one of each poster. Anyway, just wanted to share that with everyone since I actually decided to do a little posting today.

I haven't opened or unrolled them, but they are about 16 inches wide by whatever height.

Noticed a ton of Disney DVDs are on sale again at Best Buy! Friday, I picked up the Davy Crocket double feature, Last Flight of Noah's Ark, Watcher in the Woods, and Something Wicked This Way Comes for 6.99 each. Many others are on sale at that price too, but I already have them, including classics like Pollyanna, Donald in Mathmagicland, Shaggy D.A., and more! I hope to go back for Ride a Wild Pony, Three Musketeers, and Cool Runnings, but I kinda spent too much as it is, so I don't know, ha.

I would also like to add that this new sale (the one in May) seems to be taking place until May 29th. It includes many of the older live action Disney films.

Went back and picked up the rest of the ones I needed today. It's a long list of films they are offering at 6.99, though there are a ton of classic Disney DVD releases that aren't included and that I actually haven't seen on store shelves in a LONG time. Ones that I still need, unfortunately, like Follow Me Boys, One and Only Genuine Original Family Band, No Deposit No Return, Napoleon and Samantha, Candleshoe, Bon Voyage, Monkeys Go Home, Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit, and probably more I don't remember, and more recent ones too, like My Favorite Martian, the George of the Jungle Films, the Freaky Friday remake, and Mr. Magoo (which I've never even seen, actually). With all the current ones on sale, I hope they soon take these off the shelf for a while and bring those others we no longer see too often back out to move some of them for a while. Would REALLY like to get Monkeys Go Home and No Deposit, No Return...

I went to the Best Buy in Orem, UT. They didn't have the posters and only had a few of the title they list online. I was kind of looking for a few of the titles they have on sale, but only ended up picking up "Apple Dumpling Gang" and "Old Yeller." There are a few other titles I'd like to get, but it part comes down to money, part comes down to finding a store that has the ones I want.

I may being going up to Salt Lake later this week and going by the Murry, UT store which seems to have a few more that I'm looking for. Wonder if they have the poster?

By the way, Amazon has "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" for the same price right now. But it seems that is the only title at that price right now over at Amazon. Just a heads up.

The poster deal was a much older deal. I just posted this message in the old thread because it is another Best Buy deal. However, ha, I think one store in my neighborhood DOES still have the posters.
