Since he's a hand-me-down, he might have memories of the Father, unless he loses them when he goes to Andy(would make for a nice dynamic in this film), and he didnt really see the round-up gang when he was baught-they may have only had him in stock or at that store, period.

Or maybe he just hit his head on the bannister.

Yeah, I thought having no knowledge of the Round-Up gang was because he never heard of them. I figured Buzz, in knowing his backstory, was the exception, not the rule. Obviously, the others knew each other because of living with Al, and in Jessie's case, Emily was probably into "Woody's Round-up" for a while.
Maybe Woody hasn't had many interesting adventures until Andy? And besides, as a cherished family hand-me-down, he's never really been flat-out rejected himself. I don't think he's had much opportunity to share his memories. But it does make sense that his two closest friends have always been Slinky and Bo: another retro sort of toy (the only one not popular anymore when the film was made) and a sort of old-fashioned looking lamp. I wonder if maybe they have histories beyond Andy and Molly, too?

Kohl’s Creates Buzz with Toy Story Books and Plush Toys for $5
http://www.laughingplace.com/News-ID10038390.asp

I posted this in the WDW thread, but it probably pertains to TS3, too. Only read if you've been reading other spoilers in this thread. Idk if this is a spoiler, but it goes along with a discussion point in here:

I follow Lee Unkrich on Twitter and back in 2009 he did reply with "Yes" when someone asked the same question.

Yes. RT @tomhelberg: @leeunkrich Will we see RC, Lenny, Bo Peep, etc. in TS3?

Aside from that possibly being a skull on the t-shirt, it doesn't really look like Sid to me.

So.... I hear that Lotso, Big Baby, Stretch, Trunk and Twitch are gonna be bad guys. Is this in any way true?

Nothing huge, but it's neat to see how Pixar's main building is decorated for TS3:

Oh, wow! Sid cameo! Y'know, somehow I always thought that's how he'd end up.... I dunno, call me crazy, but I've always secretly wanted Andy to be dating Hannah in TS3. They'd make an interesting couple, don't you think?

Well, you know, not like they'd spend time on it. Maybe just have him mention it, or show her as a cameo as a picture in his room. It would just be a cute little detail. I'm not saying it would be a major plot point or anything. More akin to "The Cleaner is the guy from Geri's Game" than "Al's Toy Barn from the Buzz Lightyear commercial plays a major role in TS2." You know? Just something little and fun, like the kind of stuff Pixar likes to do.

A bunch of gameplay videos and interviews. http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/action/toystory3/videos.html

and an extensive write up on it at 1UP.

Really hyped for this one. and this is coming from someone who usually avoids movie games like a plague. this one really does look to be an exception when it comes to good movie based games. they say Pixar even gave them assets to use. which explains how the models are so dead on accurate; their probably the actual movie models. and they seem to have top notch animators on the project as well.

I just wish they would show the Wii version, as that's the only one I'll have access to. I'm worried it they'll neglect that version as is usually the case for mutliplatform games like this.

The "We all knew this day was comin" line. they used a different take of Tom Hanks saying the line, and re animated the shot. Woody seems less depressed with the new delivery of the line.
