Strangely enough, I'm also not a big country music fan, and I am also listening to a Dixie Chicks song that I like a lot. It's Goodbye Earl.

I've been listening to Bruce Springsteen's 1984 album Born in the U.S.A. for the past 45 minutes. I love how Glenn Beck just last month discovered that the title song is in fact *not* a patriotic, pro-America song. Quick thinking, Glenn!

Glenn Beck is the single greatest clown in so-called broadcast news... But he also rose to fame too fast, too soon. I'm thinking he may just shoot himself one of these days. Wait - wishful thinking?

Other than Amy's suggestion, I was listening to Missy Elliot featuring Ciara - "Lose Control."

You 'youngsters' out there are missing out on one of the best bands to come out of the 60's garage punk band era.

The Music Machine featuring lead singer Sean Bonniwell, Ron Edgar and Keith Olsen have an album out called "Garage Sale" and features all 31 songs the group recorded from 1966 to 1970. Granted not all of them were major hits, but surely most of you have heard of a song called "Talk Talk", an anthem from 1966 that sold well over 10 million records at that time.

You can get the whole library of "Bonniwell Music Machine" recordings through Uncle Helmet's Music, and there is a plethora of choices including a DVD of their concert tour in Europe in 2007.

From Capitol records in 1970 I listened from beginning to end the newly re-mixed version of Close by T.S. Bonniwell.

Here is one of the best albums produced by Vic Briggs of the Animals and the songs are very deeply emotional. From the opening track "Where Am I To Go" to the very last track "Sleep" there is just a wonderful story of a boy and a girl and unrequited love. The second song on the album is called "Love Is Such A Simple Word", and requires close attention be paid to what the artist is saying.

Great album, and sounds like it was recorded yesterday instead of 30 years ago.
