Could it be that the trailer's footage was created simply for the trailer alone ? Just so it sets up the premise of the story. That is what would make most logical sense. I mean, the original trailer was released months ago, so it would seem likely that the footage would be trailer specific.

Think of all the little shorts they do with the Tink characters, and they never end up in to movie, but they still make the time and effort to do them.

I haven't been following this thread at all, so I hope you guys don't mind a quick question:

I watched the first Tinker Bell movie in 2007 or whenever it was and actually enjoyed it. Is the second worth seeing? Is it better or worse than the first one, and are there currently only two? Thanks!

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is a wonderful film, and an improvement on the first. The first film establishes Pixie Hollow, introduces characters and so forth, and the second builds on that. It's an adventure story that takes Tink outside of Pixie Hollow .... along to adventure and touble !

I would personally recomend seeing the second film, if you liked the first, then you will more than enjoy the second !

Yes, there are more planned; The Great Fairy Rescue, A Winter's Tale, and Race Through The Seasons.

Hope this helps !

@PeterPanfan: If you liked the first Tinkerbell movie, you're gonna love the second one. It's definitely better than the first one. It's more entertaining, has more character development, better story, better dialogue. The only "downside" is that Tink's other fairy friends don't feature prominently but instead Terrence gets more screen-time (which I think is only fair since in the first one we got a lot of the other fairies and very little of Terrence).

:o OH. MY. GOD.

This looks stunning. Simply stunning. My thoughts:

1. Lizzie building the house makes me think of sort of an opposite version of the part in Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, where all the fairies build a house for the little girl.
2. Vidia risks her own freedom to save Tink!? Wow... I really think we're going to see an awful lot of character growth for her in this one... And I'm guessing that it's like... stage 2 of the rescue. First, they try to rescue Tink from Lizzie. Then, they have to save Vidia from her father.
3. I thought that it was Lizzie who was interested in the scientific value of fairies. But I guess she gets it from her dad.... Very interesting.
4. I love how they introduce the concept of how fairies sound to human ears. Yay! And her pantomime communication with Lizzie will come in handy later in life, when she meets a young boy who never grows up.....
5. She can fly! She can fly! She can fly! :D

I'm so excited! I can't wait to see it! And I think they changed more than Lizzy's animation...

Aww thats a shame; I thought the artwork previously posted was just a rough mock up, and not the actual thing ..... shame Disney have gotten rid of the original style of Tinkerbell's DVD covers .....

So much for continuity in a series Disney ...

Yeah... I was really hoping they would keep the continuity flowing. Oh well, I just hope they keep the spines the way they were, since I'm guessing they intend for people to buy all of the films and complete the iconic image of the Pixie Dust Tree, in fragments on the first and second spines.

Grr... when I heard "revised" I thought it meant "better." I'm not sure if this is better or worse.... Oh well. If it's not going to be uniform, I guess one is just as good as the other.

And, on an interesting "boy v. girl" note... The MMORPG on the Disney site has just added the option to create male fairies, which means that they aren't completely neglecting the male demographic in this franchise, and they realize that boys can like Disney fairies too.

As a former VMK-er, I like that news. When VMK closed, they announced they were going to open Pirates of the Carribbean, Cars, and Pixie Hollow MMOGs which would pander to adults/teens, boys, and girls respectively. It sort of felt like rubbing salt in the wound, so this news is much appreciated.

The cover art has been updated. I still don't really like it. They should do it as the other two.
