Animated Classics SURVIVOR - Round 18

Post by AwallaceUNC »

For the second vote in a row, the 17th round was another of our closest in the whole game (obviously discounting ties). One vote was again the deciding factor, with Turd Bizzler's late-hour vote barely preventing a tie with Pinocchio.

So far, the films voted off are..
Round 1 - The Three Cabelleros, The Aristocats, Oliver & Company, The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Round 2 - Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Saludos Amigos, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Treasure Planet
Round 3 - Make Mine Music, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Hercules
Round 4 - Melody Time, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Sword In The Stone, The Rescuers Down Under
Round 5 - Fun & Fancy Free, Robin Hood*
Round 6 - The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound
Round 7 - Fantasia 2000, Mulan
Round 8 - Dumbo, Pocahontas
Round 9 - The Emperor's New Groove, Lilo & Stitch
Round 10 - Brother Bear, Fantasia
Round 11 - Tarzan, Bambi
Round 12 - Alice In Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians
Round 13 - The Jungle Book**
Round 14 - Lady and the Tramp
Round 15 - Cinderella
Round 16 - Peter Pan
Round 17 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Recap:

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the Disney Animated Classic (see the list http://www.ultimatedisney.com/ultimateclassics.htm ) that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least! At the end of the 2 days, I'll come on here and announce who got voted off, and a new thread will start for the 19th round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire.

The ONE movie that receives the most votes will be kicked off each week, UNTIL we are down to the final 2 (not the final 5, as originally posted), then it will change up some!

We are well into the final 11 now!! Therefore, only one movie will be voted off each round!!!

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these remaining movies:

Pinocchio
Sleeping Beauty
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King

Reminder: Please post your vote alone in bold, as this makes it easier for me.

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Wednesday, May 5th.

*Round 5 marked the transition from voting off 4 movies per every 3 days to voting off 2 movies per every 2 days.
**Round 13 marked the beginning of the final 11, in which the transition was made from voting off 2 movies per every 2 days to only 1 movie per every 2 days.

Well I think its time for one of the newer movies to go but not Aladdin

Well the Little Mermaid think did not go anywhere, so how about offing another princess.

I'm again saddened by the results. I guess two victories in a row was too much to hope for . I wanted Snow White for at least one more round, but bigger travesties have gone down in this game, lol.

Again, I vote for Pinocchio.

Jimmy- I'm not sure, but I think you might be the first to vote for TLM in the whole game.

I'm voting for puts me to Sleeping Beauty.....why? because it is boring, and the animation makes it painful to watch a movie with a good story. however, aurora is a top 3 princess in hotness

disney princess in hotness order:

Belle
Aurora
Jasmin
Cinderella
Ariel
Snow White
Pocahontas

any thoughts?

After much internal debating, I still think I like Pinocchio over Sleeping Beauty. So

I know this is futile, but I'll stick to Aladdin.
It seems to me that this game is working like this: everyone has their favorite movie picked out ahead of time (probably The Lion King for most people), so in order to save their favorite movie, everyone is band-wagoning their votes to get rid of anything else. Why not skip ahead to the last round and ask "what's your favorite movie"!
With everyone working together, it doesn't seem like it's working the way survivor is supposed to work. perhaps the only way that would be possible is if people privately cast votes, and then they became public after each round. oh well. just my two cents!

More painful to vote off . . .

Sleeping Beauty

I hope good ol' Pinocchio makes the top five.
