Its true. They do the pantamime movement first, then the face is animated separately. At least, that's how it is in cg.

I basically wanted a hand-drawn-looking version of Rapunzel for an avatar but we still have so few images of her. I did a lot of guessing and leaned more towards the sketches I've seen rather than the CG. I'm still really dying to see more official pics, even if it's just clip art so we have a better idea of her design.
It's beautiful, I wish I could draw something like that. I also like how her name, "Rapunzel," is said on the smaller version, it makes me wish that Disney should change the name back to, "Rapunzel," then keep it as, "Tangled," even though it is official to change the name, but it sounds misguided, and disrespectful to the Grimm Brothers and Walt Disney.

I guess maybe that does make sense. With CG, at least. I haven't gotten into doing any CG yet, but I suppose it'd be a lot easier to make changes than it is in hand drawn. Hmm, interesting.

I have to agree, Rapunzel looks and sounds better than Tangled. The title change is a stupid move, I wonder what the people at Disney are thinking (and do they even think, that is perhaps the question). The fans have demanded they change the title back on Disney's Facebook and Youtube-pages, several movie sites have been negative to the title change and I think the general audience will be confused.

They're the same logo, the only difference is the title.

Yep, they even have the same "loopy"-style "R" and "G".

Anyways, I've come to the point where the name change doesn't matter to me. I mean, the movie hasn't even been released. I could get it if the movie had been out for twelve years and Disney suddenly decided to rename it "Tangled", but I just can't say I care too much about the name change.

From Tangled to Strangled

Post by Polizzi »

Disney's, "Tangled," is better off Disney's, "Strangled (it rhymes with, "Tangled")," a story of a princess named Rapunzel, who was locked in her tower for 18 years. And when she discovers that she can move her hair magically, she can use her hair for a very special purpose...revenge. She lynches people who ever dares cross her path. She has sex with Flynn Rider to receive twins, or should I say...Tangled Twins, and cuts off Flynn's penis with her hair like a sword, so that no women can never has sex with Flynn Rider. After that, she kills him. It is up to Madame Gothel to stop Rapunzel by cutting off her hair, and kill her. Disney's, "Strangled," rated, "R," some scenes may not be suitable for children under 18, viewer discretion is advised. Stay tune for a sequel. Disney's, "Strangled II: The Tangled Twins."

Sounds like Rapunzel's the one who'd Tangled there.

Coincidentally, those are also the two letters representing the film rating most people prefer over the other. :P

You already posted this a couple days ago. And you just made 3 separate posts just to say "THANK YOU" every time.

Yes, we understand you want it to be called Rapunzel. Pretty much everyone here agrees with that. I mean, no offense, but you don't have to post 12 times a day saying that not calling it Rapunzel is disrespectful and whatnot.

Forgive me, I just could not stop thinking about it. Because to tell you the truth, it is bothering me very much. Some times like this, in the name of Floyd Norman, the retired Disney and Pixar animator, I wish Disney does come to their senses than trying to please the boys. In fact, Disney is more like a, "think alike," type than a "think for yourself," type. I strongly suggest that Disney should go with a, "think for yourself," type, because it would be impossible to know what boys and/or girls like, when they should do what makes them feel comfortable with, than trying to please others. Like James Cameron's, "Avatar," now that movie is a huge hit, and defeated his own movie, "Titanic." Or perhaps Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," that has a girlish title, but was nominated for Best Picture (lost to, "Silence of the Lambs"), same for Disney and Pixar's, "Up," now a days. In fact, to tell you the truth, I just created my version of Rapunzel due to Disney's title change. What would happen if I share my version with Walt Disney Animation Studios? Would they like it, or turn it down? I understand that it takes years to complete the animation through computers, but who knows. Maybe it is never too late to share since their next animated movie would not be released until November 2010. Perhaps due to technology kicking in to the highest level like 3D, there could be a possibility to complete the animation faster, and still have time to arrange the story before turning it into an animated feature...maybe.

YAY, Germany has the original title! WOOHOO!!! Here's hoping The Netherlands will also go for "Rapunzel" instead of "Tangled" or a weird translation of that word in dutch...

Let me guess: If I edit my posts, then it will conserve space on this discussion. If I post my posts, then it will overload the posts on this discussion. Anyways, here's a special picture I have arranged. This is based on Disney's, "Tangled," leaked trailer before the teaser trailer. If you look closely to the lower right corner, you will notice that I have replaced the word, "Tangled," with, "Rapunzel." The, "Rapunzel," logo picture is based on the Brazilian, German, and Italian trailer from Youtube.
