Reusing earlier years animation!!!!
Obviosly this is to save money on the budget... E.g. the guests in the final scene in BaTB originates from Sleeping Beauty... The rain in the shipwreck scene in TLM originates from the forrest fire sene in Bambi... But I also think animation is re-used in some cass to honor the movie it came from e.g. the scene with Belle on the fountain in Paris in THoND which was taken from BATB.

I think another major problem with Robin Hood doesnt lie in just the use of recycled animation but recycled characters. I'm basically referring to Little John (Baloo from Jungle Book) and Sir Hiss (Kaa also from Jungle Book). I find Little John's case quite sad because they thought they we would not have seen the difference by using the same voice actor and everything!

think of it as the same hot actor of that era dyeing his body hair brown or putting on an orange cat costume to suit the character's needs.toonaspie wrote:I think another major problem with Robin Hood doesnt lie in just the use of recycled animation but recycled characters. Bambi's mother has one of the most prolific resumes of any animated character.rodis wrote:I was referring to those films because on Wikipedia it is mentioned that they recycled animation from Bambi into these films (BATB, TLK...).
She appears in the first long shot of the castle in BatB, she even appears in the Rescuers (to my best recollection). I couldn't pinpoint her in TLK though. She probably lost amongst the crowd scenes.

I knew about most all of that. Very well edited together, though (the YouTube video itself).

Are there any figures anywhere so we can see ?

I mean honestly......yes it would be a nice fun fact...I still don't see any logic to it other than oh...thats neat....not...get me the figures or give me Looney Tunes with Danny Devito

Wow, my mind is blown. Seeing these scenes so close together is really weird.
I guess it was either re-hashing already used scenes or no movie at all in Robin Hood's case. The problem is, without this video I (presumably) would never have found out about this. So, to be completely honest, I don't dislike these movies now all of a sudden just because they re-use some stuff.
Anyway, Robin Hood is number 49 on my favorite Disney Classics list - which equals last place. All the more reasons to not care.
