Post by REINIER »

Hi, there folks

after an extensive search I couldn't find any items on that wonderfull show

Eek the Cat!

Does anyone here know if it is/will be available any time soon?

I thinks it's way overdue....

When it comes to brains, I got the lion-share,
but when it comes to bruth strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool

I agree with you. And unfortunately, no I don't know anything about it.

Maybe for the hell of it, did you check YouTube?

I remember it....although I use to call it Eat the cat because I didn't do so well with my Ks at 5 years old....god I have not thought about that show in a long time...that show was on during the era of Howie Mandel's Bobby's World

Who currently owns the rights?

I didn't have cable for the first half of my childhood and had to rely on Fox Kids for all my cartoon fill. I remember all these old shows. I know Disney bought all the old Saban shows like X-Men, Spider-Man, and Power Rangers and Cartoon Network shows Goosebumps, but all these cartoon shows seem to have disappeared.

I still have my old Fox Kids magazines with X-Men, Spider-Man, Eek the Cat!, Bobby's World, The Tick, Life with Louie, Sam & Max, Goosebumps, Power Rangers, later with The Ripping Friends, Men in Black: The Series, Godzilla: The Series, Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot and Digimon.

I used to watch Eek the Cat and would love to get it on DVD. I remember it being really funny. This was back in the day of Animaniacs and Beetleborgs, wasn't it? Ha. That period of watching Fox in the afternoons. I think they even had a live-action Turtles series for a time, but I always missed it for some reason, though I loved the movies back then.

That was a series called Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutaion where they had a girl TMNT named Venus
