No coupon that I know of... I'm thinking about getting it, but I haven't made my mind up yet. With a coupon I would have been more tempted, but with a eventual Blu-ray release sometime in the future I don't know if its worth it.Matt wrote:Who is getting this tomorrow?![]()
I am still thinking of passing up on it! Any coupon for this re-release?
If this was going to be on blu-ray I would have so picked it up.

This should answer your question rj.disney
Luke wrote:We haven't received Alice in Wonderland and, from what I understand, we won't be, nor will other outlets. Strange but (provided it doesn't show up in the next few days) apparently true. And our reviewers only got the Toy Story Blu-rays last Wednesday, so it's not as if they're dragging their feet.ajmrowland wrote:The site takes a bit to get reviews up. They're only getting the Toy Story reviews done now.

As it seems we arnt getting this over in the UK
I was wondering if someone could tell me how the movie is being pitched in TV spots and such ? Are Disney just going on the connection to the Tim Burton movie, or are they letting Alice shine on her own merrits ?
Going to import this over from R1 as soon as its on amazon.co.uk .... I'm not missing out on yet another non - R2 Alice Special Edition !

The current TV commercials are appropriately selling it as Walt Disney's original classic without mention of the Burton film - - while adding that it's "just in time for Easter" - - footage mostly features the Mad Tea Party and the White Rabbit.
What a relief to see some classic, bright and colorful Walt Disney animation on network TV again, even if just in these tiny spots!

hi
hi everyone i just picked up the UN ANNIVERSAY of alice in wonderland. there is indeed a trailor for the BLACK CAULDRON on it. ALSO i might add on disc# 2 there is a cartoon segment of the first short of brer rabbit, bear and fox from SONG OF THE SOUTH on it as well. it is on the first bonus feature on disc# 2 in the 1 hour tv special back in walts day promoteing coca cola.
atlanticaunderthesea, I also picked up a copy of Alice In Wonderland (yes I double dipped again
) The dvd is pretty much a repackage of The Masterpiece edition the only new bonuses on the set is the following
Reflection on Alice
The Pig and Pepper
The rest is bonuses from The Masterpiece Edition...
In other words...*sarcastily* Disney you've done it again

No sweat atlanticaunderthesea, I probaly would've settled for audio commentary on the film.
Relfections on Alice: a semi 40 min ( I believe) behind the scenes of the inspirations for Alice's movie career (startin with the 1903 verison, they dip alil bit into the castin but just for Kathyrn Beaumont and Ed Wynn (best Mad Hatter) they also discuss Mary Blair's concept arts too (a real treat) along with showin David Hall's orignal story treatment (complete with artwork)
Overall I'd give this new edition a 7/10

I thought it was advertised as a new restoration? Is it not then?Mason_Ireton wrote:No sweat atlanticaunderthesea, I probaly would've settled for audio commentary on the film.

Sounds interesting, but a bonus feature or two isn't worth double dipping for me. I'll just wait for the eventual BD.Mason_Ireton wrote:No sweat atlanticaunderthesea, I probaly would've settled for audio commentary on the film.
