Given they don't normally have more than three discs, this would make sense. But if its sold separately, I'm not paying another £16 for a few extra short sequences.
I must say I'm with you on that, but...

if Destino is among this disc I will be buying

(corporate suits:
£16-fantasia+£16-fantasia 2000+ £16 fantasia world ....''excellent !'')

I think there will probably be these options:
Fantasia (DVD/Blu-Ray)
Fantasia 2000 (DVD/Blu-Ray)
Fantasia Combo Boxset (FantasiaDVD/BD, Fantasia 2000 DVD/BD, Fantasia World DVD/BD)

I don't think Fantasia World will be a separate release.

I would love that boxset! All combos of course! The only thing I would dread though is the price. What kind of coupon could Disney put out for that? Luckily I still have my Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 VHS's to get the UPC numbers off of them though.

I can't see Disney doing combos for boxsets. It's interesting the recent Toy Story releases weren't available in a two-pack.

For that reason I think it may be:

Fantasia Combo (2 BD, 1 DVD)
Fantasia 2000 Combo (2BD, 1 DVD)

and Fantasia World will be supplements on both discs, just under a different subheading (i.e. each disc will have Music and More, Backstage Disney, Fun and Games and Fantasia World menu options). The musical shorts of Fantasia World will therefore be evenly spread over both films' releases.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I think it's a given that Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 are now delayed until Spring 2011 with BATB being released in November.

Not exactly. My prediction, as well as others, is that the November date for "Beauty and the Beast" is the DVD-only version (a 2-Disc DVD a la "Snow White") that will be released 7 weeks after the Blu-ray combos. "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" still possibly have a November or December date.

Yeah but if the December date is for the Blu-ray release of Fantasia, then the DVD will be released a month later, as in 2011. If the December date is for the DVD, then the Blu-ray for Fantasia will be coming out in November, overlapping Beauty and the Beast's DVD release. I can't imagine Disney having 2 Diamond Editions overlapping. All I know is Disney really screwed up this release schedule.

If Disney wants to live up to the 2 Diamonds per year release schedule, they're going to have to do something - and quick.

What I also find strange is that it's being reported that The Lion King will be released in fall 2011, but then which Diamond release will come out in spring 2011? In the beginning I thought it was going to be Snow White - Fantasia/2000 - Beauty and the Beast - The Lion King - Bambi - ... etc.

And seeing how the spring 2011 Diamond-slot is still open, that's all the more reasons that something is going to get postponed to that date.

My bet is that Dumbo's being held off for the Spring diamond release. It was announced to be Platinum after all, and is just as good a theory as any.

Either Bambi is coming out Spring 2011 - with The Lion King in Fall 2011

or

one or both of the Fantasias have been delayed to fill that Spring 2011 slot.

It can't be Dumbo because everywhere else got it.
In fact is not the excuse 'We wanted to promote PATF HV release'?
Stupid because Fantasia wasn't ever going to sell much.

I don't see why they have to crowd up both or three Diamonds into Oct-Dec.
May is wide open.

Maybe they have nothing scheduled for spring because it's when Rapunzel will be released. Or because of Alice/Pooh.

Of course I highly doubt that. Knowing Disney, Dumbo is released without any fanfare next year in May, Fantasias are delayed indefinitely and neither Alice or Pooh gets a release. Bambi is not heard of either.

The delay of the Fantasia's was to not conflict with TPatF, and something was happening with Fantasia's remaster. If I remember correctly, they felt they were rushing it to get it released and they needed more time to complete it properly. True, that could just have been another excuse (ala The Aristocats 2-disc edition being delayed to "make better and more bonus features"), but it can be thrown into the pile of reasons for the delay.

Because of this delay I've heard it said by multiple sources that BatB is coming in Sep/Oct and both Fantasia's are coming Nov/Dec of 2010.

We might see a Alice in Wonderland Special Edition blu-ray in the winter as a last minute way to cash in on Burton's Alice while it's still popular. We'll also definitely see Toy Story 3 coming in the fall/winter of 2010.

Dumbo will probably be released in the Spring of 2011 as a standard Special Edition as well as Tangled. I think Disney is anticipating Tangled to be a bigger release, or at least to focus on it's release to boost it's sales. I also wouldn't doubt a blu release of The Incredibles or Finding Nemo in the Spring of 2011 or even the winter of 2010. I want to doubt that Disney would pass up another opportunity for a Spring DE release, we're already looking at 2 or 3 major releases in a kinda low season to begin with.

We might end up seeing multiple DE's in the same season for a while... other than that, IMO, Disney would have to push for a early summer DE release for the next couple of years.

Another thing to consider... We will also probably begin to see more standard blu ray releases in 2011. If that's the case, maybe new releases would need less push making the release schedule we were used to for the PE's more possible.
