What's this about getting a movie for your bday? I never received anything about this...UmbrellaFish wrote:Neato! I just got the birthday email (the account belonged to my mother originally, but I took it over, and today is her birthday, so Happy Birthday to her!)!
I think I'll get "Enchanted".

DMR members are supposed to recieve an email on their birthday with 25 points and a chance to get a "free" (you do have to pay for shipping, but that's not much) Disney Blu-Ray. You can get either Enchanted, Meet the Robinsons, High School Musical 2, The Game Plan, or National Treasure. If you didn't recieve a "Birthday" email, you might want to email DMR and ask for one.tlc38tlc38 wrote:What's this about getting a movie for your bday? The weirdest thing just happened to me. I went to the Special Offers page, and the screen was normal. I was confused, so I clicked on the little pic thing in the middle and it led me to a link. The link is entitled "need link from susan". So I'm guessing a DMR employee called Susan was supposed to post it today, but didn't?

Birthday greeting?
"What's this about getting a movie for your bday? I never received anything about this..."
I seem to remember someone posting a response from DMR about this some time ago, to the effect of "they didn't necessarily guarantee everyone received the birthday greeting/free movie offer and sorry you didn't get one". I did, but a friend who has been a member much longer didn't so there doesn't appear to be much rhyme or reason to it.

Well...I actually did something better than email...I called the 1-800 number...on my birthday and they told me to watch my spam box as well....and so I did nothing came....then I called back and they told me wait until monday and if it doesn't turn up by then call back on Tuesday...then I called on tuesday and they just sent me a link via email manually and I finally got the email and I chose The Game Plan on Blu ray....so I think it will be more effective for people to call the 1-800 number than email them since from what i've heard teh email says its hit and miss....
