Once Upon A Year Diamond Editions???

Does anyone else feel like we are not going to be getting two Diamond Editions a year from now on, because at this point we have no announcement of Fantasia which as we all know was supposed to be released in the spring of this year. Disney has been known to change release dates on a whim and thisclose to the date ala Dumbo. Also notice that The Digital Bits is reporting that the Fall 2011 Diamond Edition is The Lion King which we know, but what is more interesting is what is not mentioned, the Spring 2011 Diamond Edition!

Plus, the first three Platinums were Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. If this theory is correct than the first three Diamonds would be the same as the original three platinums!

Ideas/Thoughts/Comments???

Well it's obvious that the Diamond Edition schedule isn't as punctual or dependable as the Platinum releases once were. I don't know of any other studio that so frequently announces and promotes multiple releases and then changes or postpones them on a whim.

However, I'm pretty sure that we will be seeing at least 2 Diamonds per year. I'm sure if Princess and The Frog had been a bigger hit theatrically stateside then the mouse house wouldn't have felt so uneasy about rolling out the other three DACs that we were all looking forward to this spring.

I've got an mail in fall 2009 on which Disney Germany announced a december release. This information was confirmed later by Disney Mexico (I think?) and finally by Disney Burbank on the panel discussion. I'm pretty sure, we will see these films later this year, as there are already trailers and flyers.
That would also explain, why there is no announcement for the Spring 2011 release. With the fantasia releases between BatB and TLK there's no need to publish Bambi as fifth Diamond Edition (in two years) and to change the correct order.

The UK Blu Ray of Dumbo has a booklet inside, and one of the pages is titled coming soon, and has Beauty and the Beast, Princess and the Frog, and Fantasia. I think it's still coming this year
