Retail Store Coupon Policies Question

Since most of us use coupons toward new releases of Disney films, it would help to know the policies of each store in regards to coupons to get the best deal.

What are the coupon policies of Toys R Us, Target, and Best Buy?


Example: Can the coupons given for the week of release be used with the upgrade to Blu Coupons and any of those or other places?

While I imagine the policies are supposed to be the same across the board, unfortunately it seems to vary between individual stores on how their policies are interpreted/enforced and how the current manager on duty handles things.

I'd tried to go to several Targets to get a good deal on the Monsters Inc. and Up DVD's, but none of the places would let me use all the coupons and discounts at once yet each place allowed different combinations of them (and all within the same city). I ended up having to go to Best Buy instead.

How were Best Buy's policies different from Target's?

Hmm . . . if I remember right the Targets that actually had both movies on the shelf (most did not have Monsters Inc. as advertized, in fact one store manager lied to me and said they weren't even carrying Monsters Inc. but that's a whole other story) would not do price matching (I brought a Wal-mart flyer with me), use their own Target online coupon for the discount of buying them together, and allow the $10 retail coupon all at once (typically they said they couldn't do the price-matching with the excess of coupons I had). The first Best Buy I walked into did it all without the requirement of a coupon for buying both (they already did that as an advertized special); price matching, the retail coupon, and the discount for buying them together.

Target is supposed to be one manufacturer's coupon and one store coupon per item, but really its YMMV. Some stores don't care as long as the coupon scans.

I've had the best luck at Target using coupons compared to other stores.

I remember the Up/Monsters Inc. coupons... I managed to get the price match, and all coupons at Best Buy, but it took about 30 mins at customer service to get it done. They kept telling me it was for the 1 disc Up Blu-ray, which obviously doesn't exsist. I've had some odd experiences price matching at my Best Buy. They wouldn't price match Snow White because the picture in the Toys R Us paper was a promo picture for the Blu-ray and didn't match the retail case. They insisted it was a different version of the movie.
