Finally gotten a reply from DMR help desk about the birthday offer I didn't get.
"we are sorry to hear that you did not receive the Happy Birthday Blu-ray promotional offer email. This type of email is only sent to a select group of members. We apologize if you were not selected"
So basically my 4000 points are something Disney sneezes at.
I don't understand this at all...

They gave me a Lightning McQueen pin with my Oswald D23 Pin. I think it's the same one from the Pixar set that was offered when Ratatouille was released on Blu-Ray/DVD.AladdinFan wrote:Today I got my "Oswald D23 Pin". The surprise that they gave me was a Toy Story Pin which included Woody and Buzz.
I can get you a Birthday code just message/ or post you email and I will send it to you!!geniuswalt wrote:Finally gotten a reply from DMR help desk about the birthday offer I didn't get.

Wanted to give everyone an update on the "surprise" item with each order. My fiancee ordered 2 posters due to the fact they were cheap. The other reason was to see if they would send a surprise with each order, not just one per account like the rules says. Well, both of her orders can with a bonus pin. One was a Buzz and Woody one and the other was Lighting McQueen. It looks like you get one with every order but might be a YMMV.
So if you are into pin trading at the parks, it might not be a bad idea to redeem stuff between now and the 8th. Would be a great chance to stock up on extra pins.

I would LOVE to pick up a Disney pin for a redemption but I'm looking to spend the least amount of points (since there is nothing I really want right now). It does say that you get a free gift with ANY redemption so do you suppose I would get a free gift if I spent 175 points on donating a tree seedling to a school? It IS a point redemption.
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.

I redeemed for the tree seedling. I got an email confirmation thanking me for my "prize redemption" & the rules state ANY redemption. A question though. When ya'll (I'm in the South) have redeemed did you get anything special in your email for your redemption referring to the bonus "prize". I'd love to get me some Disney pin action. If I have to I will call customer service since I have met the letter of their rules.

I didn't get any email saying about the bonus prize. The only email I got was about my redemption.buffalobill wrote:I redeemed for the tree seedling. Thanks. I feel better since nothing in my redemption email referred to a bonus prize. I still may call on Monday to make sure that I receive my bonus prize while the rules are still posted on the DMR site & I can let them know that it says any redemption.

There was nothing special in the e-mail or the packing slip. In the past, every little thing is listed on those slip with the Disney Movie Club (same location.) Defiantly give them a call Monday.buffalobill wrote:I redeemed for the tree seedling. I got an email confirmation thanking me for my "prize redemption" & the rules state ANY redemption. I've just redeemed "The Lion King" poster. Hm... interesting which pin I'm gonna get.
By the way, I'm at 1285 points right now so, would anyone tell me whether getting "Pluto and Goofy D23" pins worth it. I never collected pins, however, the first DMR reward I ever redeemed was "Mickey Through the Years" 5 pin set and I never regretted. So, I have no more pins (except for those from Snow White Box) but these Goofy/Pluto two look so great. Don't know should I get it or wait for something more valuable...

I am so outraged right now.
I got my poster redemption yesterday in the mail and I went ahead to check the cardboard circular box tube, and there was absolutely NOTHING in there! I did find something suspicious though: the lids on one of the sides wasn't even there.
And by nothing in the tube, I mean literally... there wasn't even the actual poster, let alone the bonus pins! Ugh!
Agh, I'll contact DMR tomorrow and they better do something about this. This might be a mistake on the post office's part, but I'm still really mad.
