Public transport in L.A.

Post by Big Disney Fan »

What kind of public transportation is there in Los Angeles, I'm just wondering? I know that once upon a time, they used to have the Red Car Transit line, a very efficient way of getting around, but it got eliminated in favor of cars and freeways. This was made famous in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", as you know, but is there any public transportation in L.A. now?

Check out http://www.metro.net/ and http://www.ladottransit.com/dash/

Besides the buses that run all over the county and then some, there is also the Red Line, Orange Line, Blue Line, Gold Line, Purple Line and Green Line that goes over most of the city.

Also check out www.bigbluebus.com for Santa Monica, http://www.culvercity.org/Government/Tr ... n/Bus.aspx for the bus system in Culver City, and http://www.octa.net/ for the Orange County Bus.

On the Metro Site, the 460 bus is the one that will take you from Down Town LA to Disnenyland.

I've used the bus system in LA all my life. I have heard New York is better and it may be, I have not used that one very much. But compared to other bus systems I've used, LA is not that bad.
