Finally, a different angle of Maximus the horse in this shot:

Bummer, I was hoping this could somehow affect and reverse their decision of giving the movie a new title. The show must go on indeed.Mattel’s spokespeople still tried to make the best of a somewhat awkward situation. Telling reporters that Disney’s sudden name change would have little or no impact on this toy company’s new product line.
“You have to understand that what we have on display here are just our prototypes,” an unnamed staffer explained. “And since we’re still tweaking the design of a few of these toys, we haven’t actually got into production on any of them yet. So when it comes to incorporating this movie’s new title into the product line … Well, we’ll obviously have to change out the logo that Disney gave us to use on all of our ‘Rapunzel’ packaging. But – beyond that – I think that we should still be good to go here.”

I mean, would it be possible for Disney to attach both trailer premieres on this one movie? Or will they spread them out... If so, what would be the next opportunity for them to release a trailer for Rapunzel?
dangit, so another full month left, unless they premiere the trailer online one or 2 weeks in advance... We REAAAALLY should be getting some visuals by now. A teaser poster is LONG overdue, some character shots, SOMETHINGPatrickvD wrote:it was already confirmed a trailer will appear on TPATF dvd/BDrobster16 wrote:With a new viral campaign for the Disney movie Tron Legacy counting down to a vertain event timed with the release of "Alice In Wonderland" in cinema's how big are the chances that we'll be getting a trailer for Tron Legacy and not for Rapunzel?

I'm not saying Flynn has too much focus in the movie, because I haven't seen it yet, I have said that I find it weird that the focus in terms of marketing has shifted from Rapunzel as the main character to Flynn, which is weird because that SEEMS to be purely marketing driven.Prince Kido wrote:From what I know for now, it's not sure at all we'll might see a teaser trailer with Alice in Wonderland, and maybe the one attached to TPATF upcoming Dvd is only a short shot of the tower.
The trailer shown for the title surveys was only in work-in-progress and is supposed to be attached to Toy Story 3.
I guess you have to stay patient, positive and confident because the production crew is working very hard now to complete the best movie as possible regarding their crazy schedule.
The TPATF marketing was an exception but most of the animated movies have official images and trailers around 6 months before the release on screens and like for Bolt which was retooled (as it is for Tangled !) , we got to see stuff of the movie not that soon too.
Despite all the Tangled controversy , I can say that the movie looks really great, charming and exciting, especially for me as a professional drawer also as a Disney leading heroines fan.
Although I would also prefer the original title to stay as Rapunzel ( Princesse Raiponce is the current title in my country but not sure thought it will stay like this until the release...wait and see...), I didn't sign your petition Robster because you seem first very capricious regarding the Disney adaptation even if I do understand and share most of your thoughts, but more I don't agree with you about the fact you think that Flynn has now a too much significant role in the movie on the side of Rapunzel.
After all, Naveen was at least as great for audience as Tiana and most of the Disney couples are equally great. What is fun is that even Prince Philip had more on-screen time opposite to Aurora!
Flynn is a great character and that doesn't put lovely Rapunzel aside, believe me...
A particularly nice aspect of the “Tangled” display in Mattel’s showroom at this year’s American International Toy Fair is that it included a highlight reel for this film. With is built around this girl who (as Flynn Rider describes her) has “ … more blonde hair than Sweden,” who has to come out of her tower to discover who she really is.
That last pic of Flynn and Rapunzel was inspired by a storyboard scene.(The one where she's showing Flynn her painting of the stars. We've seen this in the d23 magazine)As for the humor...using my brain Shrek humor won't work especially when each character doesn't have the personallity for it.As for Rapunzel and Flynn they'll be like Robert and Giselle.(There might be a scene in Rapunzel that's inspired by the "hot robe"scene in EnchantedSnow White wrote:I really like your words, Prince Kido...
I only hope Rapunzel or Tangled (I hate this title!) will be not a Shrek version of this beloved fairy tale. I dislike spoofy so I think Disney must to do a movie with heart, humor and epic moments, but I don't want a new ripoff of Shrek.
I hope humor isn't crassy like Shrek (I'm too annoyed to see fart jokes or other, I think people today want to see other) and I hope Rapunzel will be more Princess because I didn't love last official picture with her and Flynn (yes, Flynn is gorgeous, but Rapunzel isn't what I want to see, she hasn't qualities for a Princess, but I really like dolls).
I agree with Prince Kido. I really like Flynn will be a great character with a great role in the movie, I hope he and Rapunzel will be a great fairy tale couple.
You know, that's a really good idea! I doubt they'd do it, but it does sound a lot better than just Tangled.MutantEnemy wrote:The more I think about it, the more I think Entangled would be a more suitable title because it is better at both bringing to mind that this is an adventure film with characters getting stuck in situations (like in a tower) and the whole Rapunzel hair thing. Plus Entangled sounds better than Tangled, more classic imho! It is probably to close to Enchanted though, oh well.
