also it appears Universal is also coming out with another movie only thing its based on a board game:
In related news, another Hasbro property-turned-Universal film, director Peter Berg's "Battleship," has moved its release date to May 25, 2012 - Memorial Day weekend.
Some people here like Taylor Lautner? I can't believe somehow it's news that this guy's up for a dozen new high-profile movie roles. No, I'm serious: news that they plaster up all over Yahoo! and IMDb.com.
I think now "turning toys into movies" has gained a whole new meaning.
Next thing you know, we'll see Pinocchio 3D, where the nose grows right out into the audience!
And even though "Stretch Armstrong" was a pretty silly toy (and it looks extremely camp, come to think about it), I bet that the film will take itself extremely seriously. Aren't Hollywood people so silly?

A world of yes....just read the Twilight discussions. And I don't read movie news all the time. I generally get my movie news....here.

That would be the fast way, wouldn't it? A lot of fact-checkers here, that's for sure.
I just don't see this guy as anything more than a prettyboy. Suddenly, people want him for everything like he actually has the acting talent of a Brad Pitt or a Colin Ferrell.
Yeah, I use to check comingsoon.com and all those, but eh. Most the time, people post the same stuff here anyways, and unlike at those sites, discussions are instant about those movies, were as I have to see what's up with it there and then go to a forum to discuss it. Saves myself the time.
There are worse actors. And considering he is being used in this role....do you really think they are choosing him for acting anyways? If they were casting him for say something like a Ridley Scott film or something of the like...something that would be Oscar worthy, I could understand your feelings against him. Most of the stuff he is being cast in now....he's being cast for his looks and name. But I do see he has acting potential. I don't think he's a bad actor at all. I think given a good script, (which he hasn't really been lately), he has the beginnings of a great actor. Afterall...Brad Pitt was just a pretty boy once too.
I don't have anything against Taylor Lautner, but I just don't think he's that good of an actor, like, at all. And Universal is really scraping the barrel, what's next a live-action Monopoly mov... oh wait.

YOU STAY AWAY FROM A HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPOS MOVIE. I ALREADY HAVE A TREATMENT FOR THAT ONE.
SpringHeelJack wrote:Synopsis: A dashing and hunky young scientist invents a tiny round white pill with the help of his sexy, Megan Fox-esque assistant. The pill theoretically will satisfy an appetite for the remainder of a person's life, effectively ending world hunger. The scientist tests it out on four hippos. Unfortunately, the pill does not work as intended, and instead makes the hippos hungry hungry. They immediately begin to consume the entirely laboratory and make their way to New York City. Now the scientist and his assistant must stop the hippos with the help of a disgruntled big-game hunter (Samuel L. Jackson) before they devour the entire planet.
SO BACK OFF.

I love him in the Twilight movies, but I love Jacob Black, so that's why; I don't really care about Taylor in other movies...nothing against him, but non-Jacob Taylor doesn't do it for me...
