Catcher in the Rye author J.D. Salinger dies

I've never read any of his books, but I read a few weeks ago (I don't remember why) that he didn't want "The Catcher in the Rye", and I guess his other books, turned into movies. I wonder if now they will be turned into movies.

Salinger, who was 91 years old for crying out loud. "He had a real impact on the literary world and on millions of readers," said hot-shot English professor David Clarke, who is just like the rest of them, and even works at one of those crumby schools that rich people send their kids to so they don't have to look at them for four years. "There will never be another voice like his." Whenever I think of J.D. Salinger, I think about how he refused to allow the writer, producer, and director of Heathers to mention "Catcher in the Rye" in the movie.

That was pretty slimey of him.

This is sad news, though. Why does everyone famous keep dying all of a sudden!?
