For famous people I have met

Gwen Stefani
Boys to Men
Eminem
Mariah Carey

and I think that is it. I want to be an almost celebrity myself. I am writing a book and hopefully it sells well. I think I will be the youngest novel writer ever.

I'm actually Walt Disney's head in a jar.

Now before the questions start flying, just let me say a few things...

1) CGI animation? That's pretty okay. I actually intend to pioneer a form of stop-motion animation drawn in condiments on the backs of really fat guys, but we all have to wait for the technology to catch up. Still, look for "The Mayonnaise and the Funny-Looking Mole" in 2054, give or take.

2) Snow White was actually brighter in the 40s than it is on Blu-ray today. If you look at my notes, the original line read "lips hot pink as neon crayon", but we had to go with all that rose business because no one felt like whipping up a hot pink paint for the cels. So, maybe next time they'll get it right.

3) It's been brought to my attention that Alan Menken and Randy Newman are actually the same person. So everyone quite whining about the frog picture's soundtrack. He did his best with whatever personality he felt like being that day.

4) Also, I hear Alan / Randy is pretty big on kazoos these days. You might want to expect a lot of that in "Rapunzel".

5) "Dumbo 2: Elephant in the City" was my pet project during the 50s. It nearly broke my artificial heart-like unit when I heard it was shelved a few years back.

6) I once went to lunch with a hard of hearing reporter and ordered a particularly lousy glass of apple juice. I commented to the reporter that I hate the juice, and that the juice is the cause of all the world's problems. He misquoted me, and then all that happened... so, uh, that rumor's a false one.

7) "Home on the Range"? Pretty funny! I mean, Roseanne as fat gassy cow? Who would have thought?

8) I secretly inserted that one frame of footage into "The Rescuers". You know the one I mean. It was late, and we all thought it was a riot. By the next morning, the tequila had worn off and we started second-guessing it, but by that point it was already being transferred to VHS and, well... you know the rest of it.

9) Contrary to all these silly rumors, my body wasn't frozen and hidden in Splash Mountain or EPCOT or the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. My head was removed and placed in a glass jar in the Haunted Mansion. I've been daylighting as Madame Leota for the past 40 or so years.

10) The characters in "Sleeping Beauty" are SUPPOSED to be flat and undeveloped. They're one dimensional, just like the art style! How did you guys all miss that?!?!

Also, the prince in "Snow White" is named Melvin.
rotfl

We love ya Walt! Don't ever change.

Double corrected.

No offense, but wtf do people always think I am a male on these boards? So I somehow seem masculine? Sirens were afterall mermaids....or a loud noise...but seriously. WTF?

BTW, I also met one of the men who played the Gentleman. He also played the demon who was eating Willow's skin and the ubervamp. He creeped me out, at first, knowing the parts he played, but upon speaking to him, he is a super funny, nice guy. He even danced with me! :D Camden Toy! That was his name! Wicked sense of humor!

Well, a lot of people judge gender based on the image in an avatar. Since the one you have now is a guy, that could be why.

I certainly wouldn't mind being mistaken for Andrew-Lee Potts.

Before my constant Gromit/Doctor Who/Merlin avatars, I used to have an avatar for Bree from "Desperate Housewives"* and people thought I was a girl, even though it was established when I first joined UD that I was the brother of Kram Nebuer (who joined UD before I did).

albert

*actually, between Bree and Gromit I had an animated one of Muttley (from Hanna-Barbera's "Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines" and "Wacky Races"). But I can't say "before Gromit, I was a laughing dog and people thought I was a girl". That doesn't make sense.

I was once an extra in an X-Files episode. Does that count?Oh yeah and an episode of Highlander, although I couldnt actually pick myself out in that one. Must be on the cutting room floor.

Lets see

I grew in the same neighbourhood as Bryan Adams and most of Loverboy. The album Waking up the Neighbours included me.
I was a promoter for the WWF(E) and met most of the stars of the 80s and 90s.

I am a professional accountant and once did Joe Montana's Canadian tax return although I never actually met him.

Once hung out for a few hours with Bruce Hornsby listening to records.

I used to have guitar lessons with Darby Mills http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darby_Mills

I once broke up a fight between NBA bust Bryant Reeve's wife and a playboy bunny while Bryant laughed. And met lots of other sports stars while promoting sports card shows in the 80s and 90s.

I met UD poster MickeyMousePal at Disneyland.

I once walked out of the back of a parking garage and walked right into a scene of End of Days with Arnold Schwartenhager(sp). The director was not thrilled. My bright yellow ski jacket did not fit with the movie's theme apparently. I did like the beer kegs tied to the top of the cars though.

I met Alice Cooper in Maui. And Lance Armstrong.

I am a real good friend of Icahbod Crane.

Anyone famous?

The closest I got to an actual famous person was when Johnny Depp was taken off the set of Public Enemies. They were filming in Oshkosh, and I was in the crowd when he waved. No real meeting there.

My sister ran into a few people in Toronto, and what-not. Robin Williams, among them. She even met Hugh Jackman when her High School Drama Club went backstage at a show in New York. But no one I met.

I never ran into that issue with my old user name since it included "Girl," lol. But with my current one? So many people assume I'm a guy (not typically at this board, but at several other sites) even though I sorta hoped the name sounded feminine. I try not to assume genders, but it gets hard sometimes . . . and I've noticed that people do often look to the avatar for guidance.

Do you use your character on other sites? People might understand better if they had a face to visualize you.

Typically I do when I'm posting as enigmawing, but a few of those sites . . . well, let's just say that they're male-dominated. :p I know of many, many posters that have female avatars just because they like looking at them, lol. The best part is that I've actually had a handful of people accusing me of only pretending to be a girl in order to get more attention!

Oh, I've had people accuse me of being a girl pretending to be a guy, so I know how that feels.

Unsurprisingly, only guys assumed it.

Oh oh! I kinda-sorta-not really....have Steven Spielberg's address. Access to it anyways, but I didn't look for fear of being fired. The magazine office I work for, we handle 100s of mags, including Los Angelos Magazine. I got a call the other day for it and her acct was difficult to find, so I did a "lazy search", using just her zip code and address. She was from a division of Dreamworks Animation....cool in itself...I see dozens of Dreamworks Animation departments. Each getting their own sub and in the mix of it all...Steven Spielberg. Its not his home address mind you, but that was kinda cool in its own nerdy way. :D I always did wonder if celebrities use their real names when they subscribe to a magazine. I bet some don't, but Steven uses his real name  8)

I was at Bobby's aunt & uncle's house recently, waiting for the roofers, and someone from the newspaper called, and I said, "Hello?", and she said, "Is your mom or dad home?" Not only was that bad enough, a few days later, I was waiting for the roofer again, and someone from the newspaper called again, and again asked if my mom or dad was home. I'm not sure if it was the same person, though. I could've argued with them, since my mom & dad don't live there, but I didn't. I know that I look young, but I don't think that I sound that young!

 People always think I look way younger than I am, too. A couple years ago, when I was in Grade 12, I was walking to school and this random old guy came up to me and asked, in a friendly stranger kind of way, "So, what did you ask Santa to bring you for Christmas this year?" It was freaking hilarious. I don't know if he was serious or what, but it made my day!
