seriously, is she a new princess I'm not aware of?
This reminds me of when I went to a toy store with Amy when i was over in Florida, there was loads of 'Toy Story 3' fake toys and loads of disney rip off toys. It was amazing how shoddy they were and i'm sure that was there too!

Oh and Siren, That video you posted is truly horrendous! However it's the closest I'm going to get to watching TP&TF until 5th Feb! haha

I watched the first 5 minutes and shut it off. The line, "Wow, that shell is really beautiful but its nothing special" kinda did it for me LMAO

If you want to watch more Disney rip offs (and who would?) here is the site: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheWorstMoviesEver

This is just a cheap version of aladdin and the the princess and the frog.
Walt Disney always belived in quality, bring the quality back.

This thread is amazing. Absolutely hilarious. I think my favorites are those Princess toys.

The Frog Prince is actually sold in stores (I saw it in Target last time I checked their DVD section; as I do often) and I had first seen it on Amazon one day when I was searching for Princess and the Frog toys to see if I wanted anything for myself or my little sister.

Anyone remember this Snow White? I rented it once or twice when I was little (Dad suggested Disney's Alice in Wonderland; I said no, but I was a stupid child sometimes).

... Am I the only person who loves Thumbelina and think it is one of Don Bluth's better films? Well, the soundtrack, mainly. I didn't realize Barry Manilow wrote the songs and such until a few years back.

I confess that I watched most, if not all, of The Frog Prince. It has many severe issues. So much so that I wonder how they ever got this made and shipped off to be released on DVD.

Like I said, the movie has severe identity issues. Unlike The Princess and the Frog which has a defined setting, theme and background (1920 Jazz age New Orleans), The Frog Prince looks African, Jamaican and suburban America. This gets even worse when you see the palace the characters live in. I mean, seriously... Looks like an upper class house with very little resemblance of royalty.

It says to me that the creators rushed to make black characters in order to compete with Princess and the Frog, but didn't even bother to have a defined setting.

The other annoying thing is that the characters are constantly talking in every scene. There's barely a moment of silence. They just ramble on and on and on... It doesn't help that the voice acting is horrible!

And don't get me started on the animation... I've seen student projects with better art design that this steaming pile.

Now THAT is just a complete blatant ripoff! It even has the same font as Disney! And her pose looks practically traced from one of Aurora's poses! :x

It just hit me: the princess from "The Frog Prince" is the same princess from "Little Princess School". I guess you have to give them props for keeping continuity :p.

Wow... who wrote that Princess School song!? That's so obnoxiously wretched, but I can't get it out of my head.
And Cindy, Bianca, and (was it Zade? Her head was covering her name!) don't look familiar at all....

Dang, I wish I could've gone to Princess school!!! Then I could've learned to be beautiful, even though my teacher's wouldn't have made a sound.

I love how pitiful some of these rip-offs are. I mean, that Princess Set thing is the worst offender. The words "Play Set" are in a Disney-style font, trying to get an unweary buyer to buy it, thinking it's a Disney product. That happens sometimes.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0487010/ = Check out this bizarre "Aladdin" knock-off released when the Disney film hit theaters in November '92.

Judging from the cover, that one seems to be more faithful to the original story in that it's set in China and uses the ring Genie(the design of him sucks though) as well. Though the movie itself must pretty horrible and suck, I don't see how it's a rip-off other than that both were released in the same year.

Well I could be wrong. Someone once wrote on IMDB (someone who actually saw it), there's two Genies, one of which resembling a rapper or something and they flew on some giant eagle. I find it odd though that they were released at the same time. "Aladdin" had its world premiere Nov. 11, 1992, this was released just five days later.

I actually think this is a cash-in and not a rip-off.

Not all cash-ins are rip-offs. All rip-offs are cash-ins.
