Anyone else notice that home video releases now say just "Disney" before the title of the movie. Before, all of his classics would say "Walt Disney's" and the recent ones would say "Walt Disney Pictures" but now they all just say Disney. The Princess and the Frog posters even said "Walt Disney Pictures" but now its just "Disney" for the home video release.

Cover art is okay at best, problem is the ugly yellow border, maybe if it were a nice dark blue, it would be nice, but I guess Disney wants it so people don't automatically think it's just a Blu-ray when they see it on the store shelf. I'm personally picking up the Blu-ray only version, finally Disney doesn't make us pay extra for a DVD that I wouldn't use.

I'll agree with you there.Poody wrote:I donno.... Something is totally off with Tiana's face! I hope this isn't the final version.
More than anything, I wish they'd tone down the damn shading on these covers and let the artwork have a closer resemblance to the actual cel-style coloring of the films they're supposed to represent.
I'm sorry but this takes the cake for worst disney dvd cover ever. This even beats snow white's new one with her face completely off model. the whole design and concept is terrible. they need to just use the teaser poster. it would make such a classy blu-ray cover. and yellow? PLEASE! the movie is about frogs. Nothing in the movie is yellow EXCEPT FOR RAY'S BUTT. Now everytime I see that that is what I will think of. Brilliant disney. way to give a great movie an awful cover. again.

Compared to some of Disney's live-action catalogue titles, The Princess and The Frog cover looks quite good...nomad2010 wrote:I'm sorry but this takes the cake for worst disney dvd cover ever.

Only on Disney live-action covers will you have 25-foot-tall couples attacking Paris, a subtle ad for viagra, untouched movie stills, and an unimpressive shot of what was a very impressive space ship.

It could be worse. That cover is too bright and sharp for Marky. And Disney obviously fiddled with the background, it's not supposed to be white! I've fixed it and made it Marky-approved...

Honestly, it's still too bright. And I think the Marky edition would only have digital copies, so that he's spared seeing any slight imperfections on a standard size TV screen.

Mooks wrote:^^ Call me crazy, but I really dig that cover... It has that artistic, "Tarzan" CE look. The only thing missing is Naveen and the original title card-thingy. Now, enigmawing, could you do something about that?
It really says something about Disney if a quickly-made fake cover devised by three people (well, two. all I did was lessen the clarity and add some Marky-ness.) gets preference over their official cover.supertalies wrote:Wow...I actually like this cover...

Yes!
Though it could look better without the Marky quote and the included bag of dust. Then it would actually be a neat cover!
