Rights

Post by theclownslayer »

In response to the person who said disney bought back the rights to the show... that is not a good thing because it means the show will not be on DVD until the 5 years is up because Disney doesn;t like to put shows on dvd. If Nickelodeon bought the rights we would be in business! They already released Pete and Pete and Clarissa explains it all so I'm sure they would release So Weird if they owned it.
SO WEIRD and JETT JACKSON NEED TO BE ON DVD!

True, But it being a year since Clarissa: S1 and we still have yet to see a release of S2. And the newest release of the Pete & Pete series was recently pulled off of the schedule. Disney has actually released more of their channel 's shows onto season sets than Nick has. I'd trust So Weird more with Disney that I would Nick. Altough neither would make me happy. I'm still waiting on Fairly OddParents: Season One and That's SO Raven: Season One....
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

Are The Any "So Weird" Fans Out There?

Post by Cosmic Creepers »

I have decided to start this thread because I love the Disney Channel show "So Weird." I thought that the show was one of the best on Disney Channel. I hate that Disney completely retooled the show for Season 3 and that other than a paperback book series there was never really any merchandising that went along with the show. In my opinion it was some of the best entertainment that the Disney Co. has had to offer in a long while and the least that they could do is put the entire series on DVD. I hope to hear from all of the "So Weird" fans on this board.

Seeing as how Disney hasn't released DVDs of "Even Stevens", which launched the career of one of today's biggest movie stars, I'm guessing "So Weird" and all the other Disney Channel shows from this era have less than a snowball's chance in hell of getting released unless a younger generation's Leonard Maltin fondly chooses them for Treasures-type treatment assuming there is some form of digital home entertainment forty years from now.

I wish Disney would licence more of their shows out to SHOUT! Factory like they did for "Sports Night". I certainly wouldn't mind seeing extras-filled DVDs for some oldschool Disney Channel shows.
