NEW Lion King II Cover Art
I'm gonna have to choose no also for these reasonsPatrickvD wrote:They still didnt change the one thing that was wrong about it.... simba... too bad.
1. SIMBA (like PatrickvD said, they didnt fix it)
2. the cubs seem poorly animated detail wise this time around, the firts cover had that shiny appeal but Simba was still poorly drawn
3. too much for show, you got Timon and Pumbaa in there this time around but it's a little too much. Now Rafiki is worse in this cover than the other one
4. bland/ too faded colors, as semi mentioned in #2
I think they drew the characters in there head without modeling them from photos from the films. this would explain the SImba problem

Overall, I think it's better than the previous one as a stand-alone cover. But I voted 'no' because this doesn't have the right color scheme to fit in with the rest of the trilogy.
This serves as even more proof that initial cover art releases are not all final, though.

I voted Yes because overall, it's an o.k. cover. Sure it could have been a bit more vibrant and could use some better graphics, but the more I look at it, the more I start to like it.
I find that because they changed the "II" to a "2" a good change so it fits better with "1 1/2" although I do find "II" more professional looking.
By the looks of the cover, it seems as if this release may not provide a slipcover as well. If that's true, it looks as if Disney may have just scrapped the whole idea. Here's hoping they didn't!
