Disney Disc Replacement help?

Post by DisneyLuver »

Hey guys!

I just received my package of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy on Blu-Ray, and it turns out the feature film disc (Disc 3) for Dead Man's Chest is a DVD instead of a Blu-Ray.
Is there any number or email I can contact Disney for to get a disc replacement of the wrong disc? I know you can get a replacement or $6.95 if you personally damage a disc, but this is a fault in the box set originally and not a damage.
I know WB had a disc replacement where they would send you a new disc if the packaging had errors in the discs.

Can anyone please help me with this issue? Thank you!

Where did you get the Blu-rays from? I'd take this up with them as opposed to paying additionally to get something you already paid for.

I actually bought it from Disney since I had a gift card.

I would give them a call. Hopefully they will replace it without a fee. Also check your Black Pearl disc. There were two versions of that Blu-ray, one with bad framing and a corrected one.

Then you should definitely take this up with them. There's no reason why you should have to pay another $7 to correct their mistake.

What misframing problem ?
Think about this. Once bread becomes toast, you can't make it back into bread.

I have a question or two that fit under this heading too.

I have used the replacement a few times in the past, but it has been some time. Can anyone tell me, can you call in for a free replacement for a blu-ray disc that has a playback issue (skipping during one segment), and if so, does anyone have the number? When I check the disney site now, it just gives an address to send 6.95 and any disc you damaged yourself for a replacement, and there's no phone number, but in this case the disc has a defect it came with and I don't have the receipt. It's the 2nd blu-ray disc from Snow White, and it's the Fess Parker segment of the Disney Decades portion that doesn't work, not even on my PS3.

The original PotC Blu-ray disc has a scene misframed. After the first sword fight between Jack and Will in the blacksmith's forge when the Commandant comes in to arrest Jack, his head is cut off. Basically, the frame is the bottom of the shot instead of centered. This was corrected in later releases, but affected the first run of the disc. Disney will replace this disc for free.

Again, anyone have the phone number for the replacement program? I can't find it on their site anywhere.
