News About Me (Related To Disney)

Post by AwallaceUNC »

Just a little update on me & Disney...

I've been accepted in the Walt Disney World college program for 2004, which is exciting, especially since I think they said they only accept like 2% of the applicants or something along those lines. The process was fun (a tad intense) and I'm excited. I haven't decided what semester I'll be attending yet.

Also...

MousePlanet.com's most recent MailBag (from a few days ago) featured a letter I wrote about the Roy/Eisner/Comcast deal. I thought that was pretty cool. 8)

That is so awsome. I plan on applying for the Disney College Program for next year. My family visits every year and I always end up talking to the college kids and thinking "this sounds like the right thing for me." What I really want to do is be a host. I have seen them do this. People pay big bucks for this package that includes free meals and a host to take you through a park and you get to skip lines and go backstage. The package also comes with a free meal. It would be so cool to be a host, but you have to be fluent in more than just English. I better learn something like Japaneese and fast!

I also plan on auditioning for host/park greeter. You don't actually apply for this (you have to choose another job first), and then you audition when you actually get down there. Sounds very cool. I won't be doing any of the tours though, as I'm not fluent enough in anything... I know just enough French and Hebrew to get by as a park greeter, according to the CP rep here.

Congratulations! I've always played around with the idea of applying, but never did.

Congratulations!

I never even heard of a Walt Disney's World College program.

I wonder if I could be accepted if I apply.

Congrats, Aaron! Is it anywhere in the Orlando area?

Anywho, don't forget to update(if you haven't already, curse dialup) Survivor! I'm changing my vote this week, and it might be shocking.
