I always preferred the earlier years for it's ultimate cheesy and awesome-ness, but I'll definitely be picking this up.

I'm only up to Season Two, though, on the DVDs. I still need 3-5, and now 6, haha.

I wonder (and I'm hoping) if CBS will pull a "Charmed" and release the final season with lots of bonus features?

I like that cover, *hot* but I've been holding out for a complete series set of this, since I have started so many shows and never gotten around to finishing them. I am trying to get into just holding out for complete series sets.

This Tuesday March 23, 2010 "Sabrina The Teenage Witch: The Sixth Season" is going to be release on DVD. I'm just trying to remember for those people that are going to buy it. Hopefully "Sabrina The Teenage Witch: The 7th Season" (The Last Season) is going to be released this year.

"Sabrina the Teenage Witch" Final Season on DVD

Post by AladdinFan »

Sabrina the Teenage Witch: The Final Season is coming to DVD on July 27, 2010. It will also include the TV movie Sabrina Goes To Rome.

Here's the artwork:

Looks hot again on that cover too, after going through that odd redheaded phase that didn't suit her. Anyways, I have never seriously watched this show, but I always wanted too (though the humor was a bit too cheezy for me from what I saw, and I like some cheezy/bad stuff, but that whole Full House level is too much for me). I wonder if they will release a complete series set now, as I have started thinking I would prefer buying shows all at once like that (which is why I never bought any more Buffys after season 1, though I still need to get the pricey boxed set).

Last time I watched it, I remember it being a level or two above Full House. It's not that insane. In fact, sometimes it has a real flair for sarcasm. With some clever lines. It just kind-of sold out so it could continue calling itself a teen show. Had it tried more for the Nickelodeon-styled humor rather than the dopey Boy Meets World or Moesha school.

While I'm glad that Sabrina Goes to Rome is included, I wish the TV movies were given a separate release, especially since they're not in continuity with the series. Still, I always liked the Rome one best out of the three, so I'm glad it'll be there if I ever pick up "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" on DVD.

There were only two, right? Sabrina Goes to Rome and Sabrina Down Under? There was also the original with only Melissa Joan Hart in the cast from the series, but does that count? lol

Anyway, Mel looks sexy on that cover... I haven't bought past Season 2, but I'm working on it! I love Sabrina! :P

I always counted the 1996 TV movie, thus making a trilogy of TV movies:

Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996)
Sabrina Goes to Rome (1998 )
Sabrina Down Under (1999)

It made sense since none of them were ever in continuity with the series (even if the 1996 one was a "pilot" of sorts for the series), and since Sabrina's on vacation in the other two, it's understandable while Hilda and Zelda aren't there.

Yeah... Salem was completely different in the "pilot" TV movie, and IIRC Hilda and Zelda's roles were switched. Also, I made a mistake -- Melissa Joan Hart wasn't the only actor to cross over... whoever played her friend Jenny went on to the show for the first season.

And the succeeding movies were so OOC for everyone... Lindsay Sloane played a mermaid that looked EXACTLY like her character Valerie, and no one noticed!

I agree with you I wish that the TV movies were given seperate release. Hopefully they release Sabrina Down Under (1999) and re-release Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996) on DVD.

On July 27, 2010 Sabrina The Teenage Witch: Complete Series Pack (Season 1-7) is going to be release too. On Walmart.com under description it says it will contain an Audio Commentary and Featurettes. If its true hopefully there's a bonus disc on Season 7 for those who already bought Season 1-6.

Sweet! I wonder if it will be just a repackage of the individual releases or something special? I haven't bought any of the seasons yet (since they're hard to find), but if it's just a repackage I think I'll buy season 7, then work backwards since I sorta prefer them in reverse order. Don't know why though, maybe it's because season 7 was the only season I watched during its original broadcast run so it's sentimental? Who knows.

Wait, there were tv movies? And I thought ABC Family burned the show out with reruns.

Anyway, it's a great series. I may start picking it up.

Sorry, late, but there were three movies:

One was before the show, and only had Melissa Joan Hart and the woman that plays Jenny from the show.

The other two, Sabrina Goes to Rome and Sabrina Down Under, only had Sabrina, Salem, and a girl that was in both of those movies.

Charlene Fernetz, who played one of Sabrina's aunts in the 1996 pilot movie, later showed up as a different character in the sitcom.
