Yeah, that's how they make it seem on TV, but nope- it's pre-recorded!

Not gonna get to see the Thanksgiving parade from WDW today cause the CBS affiliate in St. Louis KMOV is carrying the Thanksgiving parade from St. Louis.

If anyone was wondering, on Thursday, Yanni & Yanni Voices and Kris Allen performed. Yesterday, Jonas Brothers were supposed to perform (I'm not sure if they were able to start or not), but it rained in the morning, so their performance got moved to Sunday. Celine Dion also performed.

Yanni & Yanni voices were talented, and I didn't stay long for Kris Allen- I only stayed during a half-performance/warm-up. Celine apparently did two songs, but it took SOOO long, I only stayed for the first.

I'll tell the story about what happened with Jonas Brothers. My friend and I were in the next group to learn a dance that was to be during the Jonas Brothers' performance. It started pouring, and eventually they moved us all to Cosmic Ray's. We were there for quite a while (but Billy the MC was there), and then they gave us complimentary passes for Sunday (just a one-day pass) so we can come back at 7am and dance while Jonas Brothers perform. BUT, I just thought this morning, how will we park? The printed e-tickets people received via email for the other taping days gave us free parking, but the one-day pass does not. I'm not even sure I'm able to go on Sunday (I want to so bad, but I have something else I might need to do), but if I am able to go, I need to call Disney and ask if we just show our e-tickets from Friday? Since it was pouring, most people's tickets are probably soaked- I'm afraid to unfold mine, since it might crumble, it got so wet!

So, those were the non-float performers.

*edit* Sigh. Bobby doesn't want to call and change Harry's training appointment (which already got moved by the trainer) so I can't see Jonas Brothers.:cry::cry: I never miss them when they come.:cry::cry:

More info on the parade taping, including someone that I didn't know would be there (not like it mattered to me), but it still doesn't say who was on the parade floats yesterday:

It makes me sad that Jonas Brothers are getting ready to perform right this moment, and I'm in my jammies at home. :(

At WDW, Jonas Brothers, Celine Dion, Yanni & Yanni Voices, & Kris Allen are the live performances, and I know that Steve Rushton was on a float.

I thought the broadcast was disappointing....too much singing and not enough parade or parks....I DID like the World of Color preview from DCA...Kris Allen certainly ain't no Brenda Lee...Kelly Ripa needs Reege to make her fakeness less noticeable...

Agreed. Was disappointed as well. Way too much talking and singing and not enough parade. I used to like it when it was called "Very Merry Christmas Parade" and it was live and not pre-taped.

We missed it last year as we were in California for Christmas. I guess I didn't miss much.

I agree. I thought it to be rather boring this year. Too much talk, too many commercials and ads, not enough parade and performance time.
And why keep promoting these tweenie stars? I know no one will watch it if it's just real stars like Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion and Yanni voices, etc, but still.....
And when is Disney/ABC going to realize how annoying Kelly Ripa is and get rid of her as a the host and get someone decent??

How was the parade broadcast last year. We missed it as we were in Disneyland for Christmas. Nothing beats a Disney Christmas Parade than seeing a Disney parade live.
