We're missing a very important point in all of this. It has been DELAYED and or PUSHED BACK to December 8! I ordered this on October 9, and it was scheduled to be shipped in late November. The 23rd if I'm not mistaken. Does anybody here know if it is common practice for Disney to delay or push back the release date of their DVD's? I hope this doesn't become a trend and I don't receive this until February. What a piece of garbage. :x [/b]

Maybe they're behind on making the tins. I believe one of the waves was pushed back because they didn't have the tins ready in time.

New images have been posted on the Disney Store site. It looks a little flimsier and less sturdy than the original picture. Oh well, at least the release date is still December 8. Below is the link in case anyone wants to check it out.

Mail forwarding stores

Post by leuchtmuschel »

Some articles of interest are hard to get for non-American people, because they only will be shipped to an address within the States. In your case you can overcome this obstacle with a mail forwarding store:

I put a little bit of research to get these addresses:

http://www.shopanyamericanstore.com
http://www.usglobalmail.com
http://www.myus.com
http://www.mailforwarding.biz
http://www.parcel2go.com

You have to check every offer in detail!

Yes, this is a real Disney treasure hunting…

So if anyone ordered, just let me know if your package has shipped. I'm curious to see if they finally end up charging me for the set or both the membership and set... or I might end up being lucky and I somehow escape without paying D23 membership or a 54 disc mammoth set.

Part of me would feel bad but it isn't my fault.

Hasn't shipped yet, but I just got charged today. Must be shipping tonight or tomorrow for me. I can't wait for this thing! I wonder if UD is going to review this bad boy, obviously the content is the same, but the presentation is CLEARLY different.

"04/12/2009 00:38 DIS*DISNEYSHOPPING.COM 800-328-0368 $788.95"

The exchange rate has worked in my favor since last time :) It also means that despite rumors to the contrary they are shipping one to Sydney, Australia.

Is it wrong that I'm hoping they screw up again and ship this without charging me? Especially since Disney will be getting $400+ out of me when I buy an annual pass for Christmas.

Still no charges. I'm assuming that everyone who preordered this would have been charged by now since I've been told that they're normally good about getting the product on the doorstep the day of release.

Same here, shipping confirmation email arrived this morning.

Boy, I don't know about you but I can't wait. I missed out on most of the now expensive tins so this is a real treat. Thanks Disney. :D

Hey.... since Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studios is included in this set.... I was just wondering if anyone who picked up this set had a copy of the original set of that one. I'll buy it, if you'll sell it to me for a good price, I would be very grateful.... I don't even need the tin or anything, just the discs and the actual case.

I've been scouting for DisneyLand USA, Amazon's got a few for some hefty prices but who knows, might wait for X-mas.
