I found this video online. The first half is quite jerky, but the sound is good and the show itself looks like a lot of fun.

I think that the Disney marketing department is doing their job well, because I know personally I'm getting very excited for this cartoon to hit theatres. And I've heard a TON of people talking about it all over the place, too, so here's hoping that TPATF is going to be bigger than expected

I think the last Disney soundtrack I bought was The Lion King, but I am positively buying this one on Monday too! Here is a great review of the soundtrack.
"Because the movie is centered in New Orleans, the sounds of jazz, Zydeco, blues and Gospel are apparent on the album. We think this album really captures the feel the Walt Disney Company is going for in “The Princess and the Frog” movie. Some songs are mellow, others are fun, and together the album is a great listen! We highly recommend this soundtrack CD for anyone who plans on watching “The Princess and the Frog” when it arrives in theaters. "

Wow! Thanks for posting that, Disneyfella! I'm loving "Almost There" now that I'm hearing more of it!
But, for some reason, the "six new clips and a new featurette" link doesn't work for me....

I thought the same thing! Usually new releases always come out on a Tuesday, so I was pretty surprised when I found out the 23rd lands on a Monday! A boatload of new albums are coming out that day, so TPatF is definitely on my to get list...though I REFUSE to listen to it until I see the movie first lol.Poody wrote:Wow, for some reason I though the soundtrack came out on Tuesday! Along with other new CDs I want. They call come out on Monday though, I'm guess since it's a holiday week. I would have stupidly been waiting around for Tuesday... LOL

The clips are really nice, the first one with Louis is probably the first scene that has made laugh, and the last one with Ma Belle Evangeline was lovely, but rather for Tiana and Naveen than the song itself, the lyrics are so vague, it's supposed to speak about a general idea about love or about Evangeline?

I was like you jeremy88! At first I was going to wait until I see the movie to actually listen to the soundtrack, but honestly I don't have the patience. I will listen to it, but I am sure once I see the movie the songs will have a completely different meaning to me. I love being able to sing and listen to the songs and picture exactly when it took place in the movie.[/b]

Oh... my.... GOD!
The link finally worked for me, and those clips were fantastic! The more I see of this movie, the better it looks! "Almost There" has an instant-classic sound about it, and the scene is sooo Mary Blair, I love it! Louis' "It Didn't End Well" seen made me seriously laugh pretty hard. This looks even better than I thought it would!

Wow, that is gorgeous! I like the rich colors and how the characters are shown around it, including Tiana and Naveen as humans and frogs. It looks like Mama Odie is all the way in the background because she's supposed to be a helping force from far away, and Facilier's face in the clouds makes him look ominous and mysterious.Dream Huntress wrote:Hey, check this out, it's gorgeous, a Thomas Kinkade's painting of The Princess and the Frog:

Those of you who want to book a flight to Wichita, have until December 5th, because that is when they have an Advanced Screening of "The Princess and the Frog". I already have my tickets, and can't wait to see this new Disney Animated Classic.

Hasselbeck gave the doll to her daughter and noted "looks" she received from people on the streets.
