Definitely "The Waltz King", "Horse-Masters" (with Annette AND Janet!), "Escapade in Florence", and perhaps even "Corky and White Shadow"--let's show Darlene Gillespie we still love her despite her recent problems with the law. :)

And Escapay, I'm truly honored that my comments regarding the Hokey Pokey download were funny enough to form part of your latest signature! :D

I agree, the next wave (if there is one) needs to finish off the theatrical shorts. They could maybe even include the new ones (The new Goofy and such) but at least the old classics not released yet.

I'd say maybe the Mickey's Mouse Works shorts since they started that and possibly the rest of The Swamp Fox set.

LOVING all the ideas everyone!! The only thing I can see I am against are any of the suggestions that focus on material not directly linked to Walt Disney himself and HIS time at the studio. I think its important to maintain the intergrity of the collection and what it was created to showcase.

34. TRAIL MIXUP (12/3/1993). 8:50 min.

I see some pepole clearly want the compaltions show, I agree since many of the have intresting warp-a-round stuff like Ludwing von Drake. But to save everyone is time and money why not just cut shows in the manner that only the new warp-a-round stuff is left. The new animation should fade in to the cartoon buts, it should faide back to the new animation in 0:05-0:10 seconds.
Der Fuehrer's Face is the greatest Donald Duck cartoon ever made.

I don't think that would make people very happy. Some clip shows don't have very worthy new material, but in the case of, say, the Von Drake shows, I think that would ruin them.

Anyway, as for your lists of shorts, pretty good, but there are more to be had. The Cat Who Looked at a King, for one, and some of the other shorts that have only appeared as bonuses on other Disney DVDs (One by One, and I forget if there were others). There's also the Jiminy Cricket shorts and the What Should I do series, Harold and his Amazing Green Plants (which is something else that should be on an EPCOT set too, as it was from "EPCOT Educational Media"), and I think even more educational stuff came out. As for the Pooh stuff, the only one I feel the need for is Winnie the Pooh Discovers the Seasons. That one has never been released on DVD yet.

What if they put Captain EO in a Treasures set, part of a 2nd theme park set. It would actually be neat to see videos from defunct attractions.

Did anyone notice that on the Zorro making of segments they showed several scenes of Guy Williams in "The Prince in the Pauper" and talked about it a few times. That's the second wave of Walt Disney Treasures that has shown clips and talked about "The Princes and the Pauper" (check out the featurette on Dr. Syn, The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh). While the Dr. Syn segment on The Prince and the Pauper looks unrestored, the scenes shown on the Zorro sets look like they have been remastered and cleaned up. My guess would be that since Dr. Syn was so popular that the same format might suit itself to a "Prince and the Pauper" set. Don't forget like Dr. Syn, The Prince and the Pauper also had the European Theatrical Cut of the shows available in the non-theatrical market and VHS here in the U.S. has also gone for a high price on ebay.

My guesses for this next wave of Walt Disney Treasures include:

The Prince and the Pauper: Including all 3 anthology episodes on 1 disc and the European theatrical cut on the second disc. With bonus features scattered on both discs.....perhaps including a featurette on Mark Twain and Disney? or Sean Scully's tenure with the company?

Destino: Including the Salvidor Dali inspired short and a feature length documentary describing the production of the short, and The Disney Studios at that time. With extra room for several other shorts and unfinished concept work from that time as well.

I have other wants (i.e. The Horsemasters, Escapade in Florence, The Waltz King, all available in their two-part episode format as well as the theatrical edits), but I figured I would try to be realistic and leave my wishful thinking for another forum. Don't get me wrong, I would be very pleased with the two hypoethsized sets...there's just so much in the Disney Archives that I would love to see resotred and available :)

IF they did a 2nd theme park WDT set, I guess it would be too early to include Shanghai Disneyland development coverage eh?

Great suggestions everyone! I'm still hoping for SOTS, but the likelihood of that is very slim. People and Places would be good too! And Ludwig! And lots of others! :)

I'd like a Moochie set.

Adventure in Dairyland
Moochie of the Little League
Moochie of Pop Warner Football
The Mooncussers
Johnny Shiloh

At the very least, I'd like to find a way to edit all my Moochie DVD's together to make a couple of hour long montages of Moochie either breaking stuff, not listening, putting himself or others in danger, and causing horrific carnage.

I love that little devil.

These are all excellent suggestions, so I hope someone out there is paying attention ...

I wouldn't mind seeing Treasures themed after the different theme parks, the way the old Disneyland show used to be. For instance, we could have an animal kingdom set that could include Wonderful World of Color episodes dealing with wildlife and nature.

What about a Disney in 3D collection? All the 3D shorts from the theatrical releases to the theme park ones, bundled with several pairs of 3D glasses....

I would be all over that one! I'm a huge 3D geek to begin with, though, so I'm kind of biased. I did get to see that Chip 'N Dale short in 3D in front of The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D on its premiere year. I know that TNBC in 3D has become an annual Halloween tradition (which I enjoy and try to see at least once every year), however since that first year I haven't seen that cartoon with it. Does anyone know if it is supposed to play with TNBC 3D?

Anyway, I'd love a Disney in 3D set, and think that a description of the 3D processes that Disney has used as well as a description of the 3D process that Disney has pioneered would be fitting and consist of not only Walt material....but display the impact that the Walt Disney Company has had on the medium (and continues to have).

Cool idea but not for the Treasures series. lol

Maybe someone should start a seperate thread where people could voice their "wants", just like we do on here for the Treasures but for release ideas that would not apply to this series (if it hasnt been created already) :)

Has anyone tried contacting Leonard Maltin yet on the status of Wave 10? He's usually one to respond quickly..

On the live-action front, and in light of Disney's willingness to release more than 2-disc sets, I would love to see these Disneyland series released as Treasures:

1. Finish both the Swamp Fox and Elfego Barca (I love both series, but the completist in me has refused to buy the Legendary Heroes set...so far)
2. The Tales of Texas John Slaughter
3. The Saga of Andy Burnett
4. Daniel Boone
5. The New Adventures of Davy Crockett
6. Zorro and Son (not a great series I know, but that's the Zorro completist in me talking)

Of course, let me add my voice to the chorus of those who would love to see The Prince and The Pauper released as a Treasures set too.
