1st Episode of Zorro missing Song Lyrics?

Post by Rudy Matt »

Here we go again...

Can anyone else confirm what I'm hearing?

On Zorro: Season 1, Episode 1, are we missing some lines?

Let me illustrate:

Regular lyrics--

Out of the Night
When the Full Moon is Bright
Comes the Horseman Known as Zorro

This Bold Renegade
Carves a Z with his Blade
A Z That Stands for Zorro!

Zorro! (Zorro!)
The Fox so Cunning and Free!
Zorro! (Zorro!)
He makes the Sign of the Z!

---

Okay, so here's what happens on my DVD :

This Bold Renegade
Carves a Z with his Blade
A Z That Stands for Zorro!

....... (Zorro!)
The Fox so Cunning and Free!
....... (Zorro!)
He makes the Sign of the Z!

I'm missing those primary "Zorros"!. And I checked the next epsiode, and they are back.

I'm somehow doubting this was how the original episode aired, but I'm no expert. Can anyone else confirm they're missing some chorus "Zorros" on Season 1, Episode 1?

When you ask a simple question with an attitude like that, maybe people don't want to reply.

I tend to agree with you Albert. I don't get my copy for a few more days, but it is not life or death here.

I know the answer, but now I don't feel like saying.

I recieved my Zorro's earlier today from amazon via UPS and I just checked into it....and the song intro sounds the same on episode one as it does on episode 2, and to me there was no difference....but then again I don't tend to pick up on those type of details espically if I have never seen it before...so....i'd wait for a third opinion before going with mine....

Now the type of detail I would notice is...if they had The Jonas Brothers singing the intro song of Zorro....... :P

or maybe Disney is Planning a DCOM featuring the Jonas Brothers via The Three Musketeers or something called The Three Musketeer - teens :P

I'm missing them too, so you're not the only one. I wonder if this is like the True Life Adventures sets where some people got the correct colors and others got inverted? It seems like you and I are the only UD members who are missing the audio.

I'm not made about it though. It's just two parts of missing audio in the theme song of one episode. It's not something I would send back for a replacement. I wonder how many copies were released with the missing audio though? Maybe it's super rare!

I think that was the way it was broadcasted for the first episode. Mine is the same way, Matt

Sounds to me like certain sets were pressed with an intermittent fault...I'd consult the Disney Consumer hotline for more info.

Thank you to everyone for responding. I have no intention of sending this set back or even complaining to BVHV about it...it's actually kind of cool to hear the theme song without the lyrics, if only for a few seconds.

I just wanted to know if anyone else was hearing the same thing. Thanks again, everyone.

Unless Im mistaken my first episode opening is missing the zorros AND is slightly different from the second episodes opening. The second episodes opening is missing a brief piece of footage I believe between the part of Zorro riding on the back of the horse and the shot of him sword fighting in the dark in the first episode(if im remembering correctly).

Too bad we don't have a Zorro expert around here...I know my DMC box set of Zorro season 1 has the standard Zorro opening without the missing Zorros or missing footage on Ep. 2
