Snow White - different packages - help...

Post by Candleshoe »

Greetings all - I'm sure this may have been addressed in the pages upon pages of discussion of the new Snow White blu-ray, but it's like a needle in a haystack and I can't seem to find it.

On Amazon and the Disney Movie Club, etc., I see two different packages for the release. One has Snow White in the center of the magic mirror, the other has the witch holding the apple. Is there a difference in the content of the two packages? Why the different covers?

help.........

Currently the only releases of Snow White out there are the two different cased ones, which both have the same content, two BDs, one DVD, the difference being that Disney wanted families who have DVD only right now to get a copy of the BD but not have to have an odd matching BD case. So, same thing, different covers/ cases. Don't know why the artwork is different. Personally like the BD one though.

They both have the exact same contents, just different cases.
If you wait a few more weeks, another 2-Disc DVD only release will be out, also.

If people think it's confusing now, wait until the 2-Disc DVD comes out  :P

I'm not sure why everyone who wanted to have purchased the movie intially would have already done so.

Why do people think it is so confusing? Just read the top of the box, and the back of box! Unless people forgot on how to do that?

It is confusing because the artwork is different, yet the back of the box seems to be the same for both. Which made me wonder, "what is the difference."

OF COURSE I read both packages and compared the two side-by-side before asking the question.

There is nothing on the two packages to indicate a difference, so your snarky post adds nothing to this discussion.

Believe me, lots and LOTS of people have been confused by the different boxes. Maybe not the members on here who have known about the two different packaging styles for 8 months now and have heard about it talked on the forum almost weekly, but I assure you that lots of everyday buyers have been pretty confused.
