Just watched Act of Contrition. Episode 4? So watch the mini and the first four episodes. I've almost finished disc 2 (out of 20!) - and then of course there's all the commentaries, podcast commentaries, extended episodes and PiP stuff...

I think so people just get so worked up about stuff, they fail to see the obvious. Battlestar Galactica is about US. The people act, behave and feel like US. They are US. I suspect some will be moaning that they have spaceships and hyperdrives, but can't cure cancer. But that's the point.

The only thing I really don't like at the moment is Boomer being a Cylon. I like the idea of "the enemy within" but the fact she is unaware (but sort of suspects at this point I think) doesn't really ring true to me, because there is no real-world equivalent. I'd much rather her always have known - I think it would raise more questions.

I'm fascinated by No6. She seems to have her own agenda.

Well, I always saw it as you knowing you are a bit more than what you show the world around you. Kind of like, a metaphor for hidden potential. Yeah it's a bit of a stretch, but once it blows over the situations she'll face will be much more "real" and about US as you put it. You'll see what I'm talking about when you reach that point, trust me. As for 6... Lets just say you ain't seen nothing yet!

Veronica Mars - The Complete Second Season

God, what an amazing show. Kristen Bell, much like Sarah Michelle Gellar, deserves an Emmy for her continious and consistant fantastic portrayl of title character, Veronica Mars, teenage detective. The writing of this show is witty, intelligent, and all emotion-encomposing - in one line. The acting is suberb, and Charisma Carpenter played Kendall Casablancas like the sly, devlish character she is. Tina Majorino also deserves major props for her performance as Mack, Veronica's tech-savvy friend. Veronica and Logan make such an awesome couple, and I can't wait to see their relationship develop in the third and final season. The ending was a bit of a cop out, although the episode itself was one of the best I've ever seen. Highly recommended.

Todd McFarlane's Spawn and FLCL

Both are very good series but HBO gets a punch in the face for canceling Spawn in its prime. Seriously the best animated adaption of a comic book ever (better than Batman: TAS) and they had to cut it short (hearing Keith Davids voice in the Princess and the Frog should hold me over until Spawn The Animation gets moving).

The Office: Season 5

Freaking HILARIOUS! This season had non-stop laughs! The fire, the Michael Scott Paper Company, the Cafe Disco, and the AMAZING last ten seconds of the season finale! This was great start to finish.

Popular: The Complete First Season

I got season 1 for Christmas in 2004 because I had wanted to see it because of Leslie Grossman (who was starring on What I Like About You at the time), and I watched it over Christmas break. I then got season 2 upon release in March 2005. During the 2004 - 2005 school year, I was in seventh grade, so at the time a lot of themes and stuff in the show were very risque and deep for a 12 / 13 year old. Now at 17, I decided that I would watch this series again because not only did I absolutely love it, but I wanted to see it from a High Schooler's perspective rather than a middle schooler's perspective, which was what happened the fist time around. The second time around it was even better.

The show does a great job at balancing comedy and drama well, but there are multiple occasions where something comedic happens that is so outrageous / unlikely to happen in real life, and that's what makes the show even funnier. I found that some of the situations with the popular group tends to be more unrealistic and outrageous, mainly because in my school things aren't like that.

There are a few things the creators and writers messed up, but I'm not sure if it was on purpose or not. For example, when I entered my sophomore year (which is the case for the characters in the first season - they are juniors in the second season), I was only 15, as was everyone else in my grade (some were still 14 if they had a late birthday, and some turned 16 a few months into school if they had an early birthday). In the very first episode, Nicole drives Brooke to school - and they are sophomores! All the other characters drive as well. Interesting. Near the end of the season, Sam's mom mentions her being grounded until prom, and as far as I know, most high schools have prom when they are juniors and seniors. Like I said before, maybe it's just the writers doing this on purpose to make things seem more out of whack. The only episode I didn't like in this set was "Ch-Ch-Changes", because although the storyline deals with something that you rarely come across, the ending is just so upsetting. You'll see what I mean once you get to that episode when you start watching this series.

There has been mention of some music being replaced on this set. I didn't really notice it much because I never saw these episodes when they originally aired, plus maybe I didn't notice it because I would say that given the tone of the scenes that music is featured in, 95% of it fits and seems like it was most likely the original music. The only time it bothered me is during the Christmas episode, where there is a small clip of Nicole walking down the hall, and there was clearly music removed from that clip, because I truly doubt that they would have left that clip awkwardly quiet. Then again, it is a Christmas episode that I only watch once a year.

I am starting season two tonight. I'm excited because I really don't remember any of the season two episodes (well, except for a few episodes), but I'll go more into detail about season two once I finish it.

This is such a fantastic show, and if you have not seen it you are definitely missing out. This is probably my favorite show of all time because it is so unique, and it's been classified as a "dramedy" (drama/comedy). Like I said before, the comedy is so hilarious and outrageous, and some of the drama is really powerful. I love this show.

I finished Mad Men: Season 2 last week and I definitely enjoyed all of it, from beginning to end. The season finale was one of the best I've seen in some time.

Most likely going to move onto and finish up The Twilight Zone: S1 soon.

Popular: The Complete Second Season

I have to say, I really didn't enjoy this season as much as I did the first, because during this season, things got so out of whack. At the beginning of the season, the show sticks to its usual half-funny and half-dramatic format. A few episodes into the season, it completely switches gears to insanely dramatic for a few episodes, and then after the Christmas episode things go back to normal, or so it seems. What really happens is, it just turns into complete crazy, out-of-this-world madness that I'm not really sure what's going on.

As I've stated before, this is the second time I'm watching the series, and while I was mad the first time I watched the end of season 2, I'm even more mad the second time. Ryan Murphy was promised a third season, so he ended this with a cliffhanger, and as I'm sure everyone knows, The WB decided not to renew this for a third season. The series finale left so many questions and unresolved issues! And not even the entire main cast was in the episode!

If myself and the other fans of the show had it our way, there would be a movie to wrap this entire thing up. These are the questions that I would have liked to have answered:

1. Who did Harrison pick?
2. What's the next step for Josh and Lily?
3. What was the aftermath of Brooke and Nicole's little "run-in" with each other at the Prom?
4. What the hell happened to Carmen and Sugar Daddy?! They were two main characters and had some pretty important story lines (well, Carmen at least), but it seems they faded into obscurity during the latter half of the season.
5. What's gonna happen between Mary Cherry, Cherry Cherry, B. Ho, and RuPaul? That was the weirdest situation ever.
6. What about April Tuna? She was a secondary character, but there was an episode or two this season that were April-centered, but she too sort of faded away.
7. Popita Fresh, why have you disappeared this season?

Okay, so maybe the last two questions didn't have to do with the finale, but still. I also really didn't like the inclusion of the new football player, George. He got on my nerves and was always so whiney and mopey and it really made me angry.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound like I completely hated this season, there were just so many unusual changes and so many unanswered questions, it just got me kinda angry.

Ryan Murphy talked about what he would have done if a third season was made, and reading the plans again, I feel like they could have easily turned it into a movie and by the end they could have had closure. They need to do this movie, and they need to do it now! So many fans would see it.

Dawson's Creek - Season Six Spoilers

The final season of what has come to be one of my favorite shows. I was expecting much and, for the most part, was not let down. The final season pulled the show full circle, especially with how it was reverting back to tactics used in the first and second seasons: Having Dawson's bedroom become a main part of the show again; Joey climbing through the window; Andie returning; Deputy Doug coming out; Pacey/Joey/Dawson love triange finally coming to an end; Gail, Betsy, and Grams having more prominant roles than in the last season, etc. I was ecstatic that Kevin Williamson returned to write the final two episodes, set five years into the future, but I can't get over one thing: My favorite character in the show, Jen, dying. First, a baby appeared out of nowhere... and then they killed her off. It was definitely one of the most depressing hours of television I've ever witnessed, and with the reappearence of Andie, who is also tied for my favorite character, that also didn't help the emotional state Kevin had written all the fans into. The ending, though, which showed that the couple I had been rooting for since Season Three finally got together made it all worth while.
I don't want to wait // For our lives to be over // I want to know right now, what will it be? // I don't want to wait // For our lives to be over // So will it be yes or will it be... sorry?

How I Met Your Mother - Season Four

This was definitely the best season so far. The Robin/Barney relationship escelated, especially in the final episode, and I'm excited to see it continue and develop, and hopefully thrive, in the fifth season. Ted wasn't as annoying this season, and Lilly and Marshall were even more adorable. Speaking of, I was disappointed that Alyson Hannigan wasn't even in like, three or four episodes. Still, awesome season.
