I loved this film! The only problem was that Vidia didn't speak! I can't wait for 'Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue'!

Much More Pixie Dust...

Did I know that they were animating these films in India? Did you all? My memory is poor, so maybe I had read it before. And that's not the main point of the article at all, just FYI.

I'm gonna get the blu-ray. It has a copy of the DVD so at least I can watch the movie.

I knew that! But I didn't know this!
Lasseter has cared enough to be involved in the creation of story from beginning to end. With the exception of the first film, he's been involved with the plot far more than any film by a Creative in the studio.
And another video! Once again, it's almost a deleted scene!

Also, the movies section was redesigned!

I never bought the first TB and am hoping somebody'll have a special combo deal on the 2 TB dvds. A coupon to go with a deal would be really great.
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.

Amazon.com has one right now. If you buy both, you save $10. So far that's the only coupon I've seen for either film.

They must've changed the deal. I just checked Amazon & it's only a $5 savings when you buy both. I think I'll wait for the ads and see if Target, Wal Mart or BB has a combo deal. If none do then I'll order from Amazon if their deal is still good.

Why would I want to rebuy a movie I already have just to save $5? Does Disney ever use their heads? Lol. I hope we get a $5 dollar deal off just the movie or the blu-ray combo pack is on sale at toysrus for $19.99 and I can use my $5 giftcard from toyrus. :)

Just my luck, I missed getting a free blu-ray of the new Tink movie from Amazon Vine today by just a few minutes, and that one they'll probably offer no coupons for... Snow WHite I managed to get from Vine though, even though I had already preordered it at Best Buy...

Tinker Bell Cheapquels

Post by Disney Duster »

I finally saw this and said my thoughts in another thread, but this is the appropriate thread.

It may be that some people here have said things agreeing with me (I hope I'm not the only one) but here goes:

This was only good as a film meant for young kids seen as completely different from the original Peter Pan film. If even that.

First, the animation, while some beautiful scenery and everything, really didn't look much better than what you would expect from CGI.

But now the actual film. Okay, so, we are supposed to believe that in Never Land there is Pixie Hollow which has within it something like a copy of the real world, London to be precise, with the seasons lasting forever?!

And most importantly Tinker Bell. She was not, well, Tinker Bell at all! She was nice, and good, and kind and helpful, and she actually liked tinkering, instead of being the quick-tempered, vain, jealous, fairy who tried to look sexy and do mischevious things. Yes, she is probably good at her core in her original version as well, but she helped Hook out of jealousy and saved Peter out of love for him, not general kindness.

Her voice was not prim and direct and, I dunno, mature like you would think. It was fin, light, and goofy. I could understand this issue being arguable of what she would sound like, but usually you can tell what she wouldn't sound like, and I very much feel she wouldn't sound like the sweet valley girl voice given her.

The only thing really good was some of setting and look of things, neat designs, some of the humor, cuteness, and the beginning where Tinker Bell is born, but this was taken from the original Peter Pan!

So...yea, this was a lie, and now it will be a really big, long lie as it continues in more cheapquels!

I never liked Tinker Bell. I don't like Vidia (the new version of the old Tinker Bell, in personality) or Clarion, either. Clarion doesn't deserve to be called queen. She does nothing!

But Pixie Hollow books are impressive for Disney's children's books, Mike.

'Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure' would change your mind, dear!

I disagree... 'Bambi and the Great Prince of Forest', 'Tinker Bell' and 'Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure' were the best films from the DisneyToon Studios! Great (and consistent) animation and great stories! Plus, they are faithful to the originals! And the crew is so talented! See these!
I can't wait for 'Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue'!

P. S. This is just an opinion!

I just finished watching the new film and Disney has done a fantastic job with it. I was a skeptic at first and hated the idea of a CGI Tink, but the first movie surpassed my expectations with it's amazing visuals and colorful world and the second movie does not let up.

The second movie is just as, if not more visually spectacular. There were so many scenes that just made me awe at the beauty of the colors and the scenery.

The storyline was really good as well and I thought Tink and Terrance were cute.

I can't wait to see this on Blu-Ray in HD.
