A Disney Hell - Help with a Project?

Post by ColorsOfTheWind »

In my AP English class, we are reading Dante's The Inferno and as a project, we were told to create our own hell. Being a Disney fan, of course, I chose to create a Disney hell, where everyone who sins against Disney is sent to "Disney" hell and put into a certain circle. It was quite entertaining and got me interested in what you all would think a sin against Disney would be and what the appropriate punishment would be.

Here are a few of the ideas that our group has come up with.

Circle 1 (Limbo) Sin: Never having any knowledge of the greatness of Disney.
Circle 2 Sin: Using the names of Disney, it's characters and such, etc., in vain. (Ex. Oh my Walt!)
Circle 3 Sin: Never taking a pilgrimage to one of the Holy Lands (Disneyland, Disney World, etc.)

And so on. As you descend through the numerous circles, the sins get worse. Feel free to post your own ideas!

Keep in mind, this is all in good fun. Please don't take offense to anything posted here, as it is not meant to cause offense. :)

Disney Sins
- Thou shall respect the figure of the Shrill
- Thou shall not enter feuds about Disney restorations
- Beware of false prophets speaking in Disney's name

That's what I have :p

Very nice  do you have any punishments for these sins? We were trying to think of some that kind of related to Disney movies, but it's hard :P

Punishments:
- Watch for eternity as the Disney Classics lose their quality with each cheapquel

- Have Snow White hold a VERY high note and have the sinner listen to it for eternity...

- Watch a Hannah Montana marathon :p

Even more sins:
- Disrespect Disney's apostles (Pixar, Lasseter, Dick Cook, Alan Menken, the 9 old men)

- Idolizing false Disney gods (Hannah Montana, High School Musical etc.)

- Offering a poisoned apples

This is by far my favorite sin :D and so very true haha. I think we actually put this as a sin in our project. I believe it was circle 7 or so.

As a sidenote, the Italian Disney comics actually have their own version of hell... based on Dante's Inferno. ;)

Well, it is an interesting concept, but, no offense, a buit dorky. I think only a disney fan will really understand what you are aiming at...

Here is a thought: you can use a disney hell as more of social satire. Instead of sins on a "fan level", it could be "what are the sins if you ARE IN a Disney movie?

You know....its a sin not to burst into song when you are in love...its a sin to do anything sexual...its a sin to wait more than a day to marry the person you fall in love with... and so on.

Just a thought.

Thou shall not compare Disney to false Gods, such as Dreamworks (joking though)
Punishment: Writing on a blackboard "I will only think about Disney, Praise Walt!" for 10 years, unless the Great Mickey Mouse excuses you from the terrible crime you have commited.

Thou shall not mention other works by false Gods in the Motherland (eg Shrek, Iron Giant, et cetera).

Punishment: Scrub the pavements where you have walked to remove any trace of your blasphemy, then thrown in the Dungeon with Jack Sparrow for eternity.

If one needs to entertain themselves, with a product that Disney did not produce, it must have their blessing (eg Studio Ghibli - Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, The Cat Returns et cetera) otherwise you will be locked in the tower of the Disneyland castle for a minimum of five years.

One will not pronounce that they don't believe in Fairies.
Punishment: Clapping for eternity.

If Disney has a version of something, you may not indulge in an alternative. Anyone caught doing this will have to help sort out the Mop rebellion (Fantasia).

A few ideas. Enjoy!
