It was my understanding that they couldn't find the masters of Christian Rub singing. I'm not sure if it's something that continues to be lost or what, but either way I haven't heard anything about it since.
And I think "On My Way" lacks Koda just because Phil Collins prefers himself to anyone else.
However, should you want a replacement version I made of "Little Wooden Head" with the vocals spliced back in, well, you can download it.
Why No re-releases of the soundtracks with the DE's?

When Rhino Records was restoring soundtracks to MGM films and they couldn't find the masters for a song, they sometimes used audio from the film's soundtrack itself, such as in the Easter Parade soundtrack, where one of the tracks on the disc comes from the film's audio. Disney could have finagled with the film's audio track and spliced the vocals in somehow.

Really? Mine has since switched everything around too, but I still saw the Pinocchio soundtrack there recently. Hmmm.Matt wrote:My Best Buy near me has nothing. They switched everything around and took out a lot of Disney Soundtracks. I am not in need of any of them, as I have all of them myself. I was just saying why Disney doesn't re-release soundtracks anymore with the new Editions like they used too.DisneyFreak5282 wrote:About a year ago I found an import edition (or so it was claimed to be) of the 2001 Snow White soundtrack, and I got that. They also had Pinocchio there, so try Best Buy!
Anyway, I looked at the packaging and liner notes for the SW soundtrack and I found out it's a UK Import and was released in 2006. In the liner notes there is a letter from Randy Thornton, Restoration Producer, dated December 15th, 1997. At the very end he writes
So I guess this means editions of the soundtrack that have been released since 1997 have this additional seven seconds. Cool!P.S. - With the reissue of the soundtrack, seven seconds of music that were omitted from "Love's First Kiss (Finale)" have now been included

Will there be no OST for Snow White with new Cover Art?
Is it absolutely definite that Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is not getting a CD Original Soundtrack release? I thought that it would get one as it's "The One That Started It All" !!

Were it getting a re-release, it would be out by now. It wouldn't make any sense for Disney to release it a couple weeks after the Blu-ray release, or even when they release the DVD. I see no way it's getting a release any time soon.

I'm actually starting a little project to get all the soundtracks post Oliver and Company in first-run CD form as I recently realised that I grew up on a The Lion King, Tarzan, A Goofy Movie and the 5 CD Classic Disney Set. Apart from getting TLK: Special Edition in 2004 and TENG last year on eBay I had downloaded the rest over the last 12 months as a stop gap.
First coup was getting a 1988 Oliver and Company on eBay for only 99p and Brother Bear for about $10. Virgin sold me HotR for only A$3. Paid too much for Bolt the same day but it was the last copy. I'm thinking the hardest to get/most expensive will be a first run The Rescuers Down Under (with the proper art).
