I got it on DVD however. I think I will just wait for the Diamond Edition Blu-ray. No real reason to have two versions of the movie. I am happy with my DVD copy. :)
Thanks a lot! "Pinocchio" is the last Platinum Edition I own. Now I have about 8 Platinum Editions for now from "Snow White" to "Pinocchio", but I'll get "Dumbo" as a special edition soon.

I hope "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" will be next, but let's hope!

I put the $5.00 down today making it's new total $14.99
$5.00 off using the gift card
hopefully a $10.00 off coupon from Disney
for a total of -$0.01
Don't hold your breath. The coupon thing just seems to be for re-releases as an incentive for people to re-buy something they already own. I must say, you got a fantastic deal on both Up and Snow White (did they pay you to buy it?).
Well, Bolt, Hannah Montana, Earth, The Jonas Brothers Concert, Race To Witch Mountain along with others had the $10 coupon... so I think there is at least a small possibility that Up will as well.

Regardless though, it is a great deal, so with or without the coupon, I'm not complaining :)

Didn't know, never bought any of those, only bought Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, and Snow White :shifty:

In honor of the Diamond Edition Blu-Ray/DVD release of that film. Here is the track that you are all familiar with, it's a medley of songs from "Snow White" which was from a 4-LP set which I don't have is "The Magical Music of Walt Disney". I played this whole track on my old reel-to-reel tape recorder which I have right now. Enjoy!

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yit8aFOOLxI&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yit8aFOOLxI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And here is the classic song from that film which was from an old Disneyland LP (DQ-1201). This was playing on my old General Electric (GE) Wildcat portable stereo record player from the 1970's. I might do some more songs from "Snow White" on my GE Wildcat soon and the Storyteller album someday when I have a chance. Enjoy!

A really nice crystal Snow White apple has been added to the Disney Movie Rewards for only 2100 points in honor of the Diamond Edition.

EDIT : Sorry, I forgot about the DMR thread and it has been updated there!

Just curious... How is the 2000s segment of the "Disney Through the Decades" timeline updated? Does it mention the Scourge of Disney? (a/k/a the "High School Musical" trilogy?)

I'm hoping my boyfriend will be able to print it on his computer for me, because it didn't print the first time I tried it, and now it keeps saying I already printed the coupon and won't let me do so again. I've had problem with Coupon Printer application before. It's really more trouble than it's worth.
If you're still having trouble, PM me. I have an extra $10 coupon for the Diamond Edition I printed out a few weeks ago, and I can mail it to you.

Both my $10 coupons expire on 10/20, and I don't want to let the second one go to waste. You can even check the code on the coupon to insure its validity.

Azul, I'd love that. I can't send PMs, so could you email me? That would be amazing. I thought online they said they expired on the 10th, though? Am I out of it?

It is me or my eyes, but the Blu-Ray discs kind of look blurry, have that 3-D movie look to it?

It mentions a lot of things, and yes High School Musical was mentioned, as it should have been. It is a worldwide phenomenon that is bigger than the Davy Crocket craze of the 50's. But it also mentions the new Disney parks, the Pirates films, Kingdom Hearts games, Enchanted, the Pixar acquisition and Disney Digital 3D.

It's not your eyes. It's Disney's anti-piracy attempt. They use this type of disc art from time to time, but are inconsistent with it. I have 2 Disney Blu-Rays like that: High School Musical 2 from 2007 and Race to Witch Mountain from 2009. But the other 2009 releases since Race used the standard disc art. I was sad to see that they chose to use it for Snow White. I know it's supposedly harder to duplicate that image, but it looks cheap and weird.

Yeah, makes things hard to read but will probably impress people who like shiny things. The other way they printed on the discs was just more practical and IMO not as cheap looking.

One thing I like about the discs is the fact that they label them "Feature" and "Bonus Material" instead of "Disc 1" and "Disc 2". Come on moms, try to get confused now

Well, at least in the US the book comes with the bluray while in Italy you can only get it with the DVD. So, no book for me since I'll be getting SW on bluray
I wish the book was coming with the DVD.

First of all thanks to UD, for letting me know about the coupon, I got $25 off my copy Collector's Book Set, The total came out to with the 7.50 deposit for $23 dollars, i could've did a price match and got an extra $5 off, but didn't realize Target had it cheaper, it ok though i had a bestbuy reward certificate for $10 I also got a regular edition and the total for that came out to $10. $33 for two not bad!!! The book is really nice and the way the box opens, if anyone wants a pic let me know!

Anyway instead of studying last night i was watching Snow White and it looks amazing on Blu!! I love it! I'm not even going to bother with looking for the old platnium. The Ud review is right about everything they said. I really like looking at the old animators talking about the movie, and looking at Snow Whites' history, very nice.

edit: did anyone get the plush set? because i didn't see this in any best buy or target i went to.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of the book and how it compares to the book in the $150 collector's edition.

Got done with my copy last night. 7 hrs straight! The Hyperion Tour is sooooo worth the effort! Some of the deleted concepts from the old DVD ended up there in gallery form too. And the Mirror's as cool/creepy as ever!

The 6 min. P&TF sneak peek is an engaging feature at worst, and makes you forget what disc it's actually on.

I tried the best pics i can, but the lighting in my house is not that great so here are the ones that came out: Enjoy! BTW, the blu-ray case u see is the steelbook not the one that came with it i replaced it, the book came with the dvd case, which is a nice trick, it actually looks like a dvd, anyway to not get into that here are the pics; the book is 160 pages just like in the collector's set, this scale on this one i think is smaller... still not sure what are the big differences besides the cover, and size.

To me, it's not just the disc art that's blurry. The movie itself looks blurry at points. I'm assuming that's the price you have to pay if you buy older movies on Blu-ray.
