"Warner Home Video has announced a Deluxe Edition of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown for the 26th January. Retail will be around $19.98. As well as the 50 minute feature, the disc will also include an Animating A Charlie Brown Musical documentary featurette that explores the twenty year journey of the 1967 Clark Gesner album that became a Broadway hit and finally an animated TV special."
Sadly, unlike the other releases, this won't include a bonus TV special. Which is a shame because Snoopy: The Musical would've been great to add to the disc.
You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown comes to DVD!

I saw the full musical for the first time over the summer and I thought it was great! Can't wait to get my hands on this DVD.

Perhaps they intend to release "Snoopy!!! The Musical" on its own, as usually it's a "lesser" special that gets treated to "Bonus Special" Status on the DVDs. Like, I doubt anyone would buy "It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown" in its own, which is why it was paired with "Snoopy's Reunion" (for reasons I still don't understand) as the bonus special.

Heyheyhey, I used to love "It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown", still do. The song that Lucy sings at the party is priceless "Lucy is the boss, so listen to Lucy lalala..."
But yes, even I have to admit it does not quite have the same charm that Pumpkin or Easter Beagle etc. do.
Very excited about the YAGMCB DVD. I already have all the specials on DVD, since the German DVD set that was released a few years ago had them all, but I am glad that this charming animated version of the musical will finally be available in the US.

Don't get me wrong, I like it too. It's just soooooo bad that you can't help but wonder why they made it.
I think the Charlie Brown special I'm looking forward to the most is "It's A Mystery, Charlie Brown", which will be coming out in Volume 1 of the 1970s collection. Would've been nice to have it get its own Remastered Deluxe Edition with a featurette, though.
