Well if we're bringing in the semantics of what to call Disney, then maybe we can say he was German-American? An American with a German heritage? A Germerican? Amerman?
I was born in Philadelphia but call myself a Filipino-American. Heck, sometimes I just say Filipino since the fact that I've lived in America all my life pretty much covers the whole "American" part. And when I wanna use less syllables I just say "Human" as it's two less syllables than Filipino or American!

Well, actually...chances are Disney was a mutt himself. According to his introduction to the film "darby O'Gill and the little people", he was of (at least partial) irish heritage.
As for the rumors about his anti-semitism...when someone is a legend, plenty of legend grows around him. Same thing with his frozen body.
According to the documentary "walt disney: the mind behind the myth", people who knew him and worked for him say he was not an anti-semite. I dont recall exactly, but I think one of the people interviewed, who was a former employee, was jewish.
As for him being a communist...dont think its true, but i wouldnt be surprised if he had refused to testify about who he had heard talking "commie" back in the witch-hunt style trials of the 50s, making people think he was a communist himself.

That's what I believe myself. Seth has done far meaner jokes on his show, and the "Disney Hates Jews" thing is rather tame (for example, he implied that Quagmire had raped Marge Simpson, then proceeded to kill the entire Simpsons clan).littlefuzzy wrote:I haven't yet seen the FG episode myself, but is it possible that Seth was parodying the rumor that "Disney hates Jews", more than trying to actually state that he believed that himself?
Again, he went through all the trouble of creating a believable Disney universe, complete with an original song that fits the mood. There was love shown in this segment, even if it was a twisted kind of love.
I think the Disney jokes done by the Animaniacs were far meaner than this parody. I could detect actual hate in those jokes (Beauty and the Beast seems to have gotten the worst out of it).
