Disney is Re-releasing the Disney Princess Christmas Album..

Post by Matt »

Today 9/29/2009 Disney is re-releasing the Disney Princess Christmas Album CD. I cannot believe Disney is re-releasing this CD again and saying that it is all new music, when clearly it isn't! The only thing we are getting that is new is another Snow White song called "Christmas Eve Dinner" This song has been replaced by Jim Brickman and Wayne Brady's Beautiful (Christmas Version). Personally, that song is WAY better and stupid on Disney's part. Now if this is a way for Disney to promo Snow White's release of the Blu-ray, this is SOOO lacking lol. I am only going to buy the MP3 on Amazon and call it a day! No need to rebuy this album for just one song!

I personally like the old cover better. Which cover do you like?

I prefer the new cover because they got Belle's pink dress right. LOL
(I know Belle has a green dress, but it's not the one in the original cover)

I just bought it on amazon, because I didn't own the original.

Talking about princess music, on November 24th Disney is releasing a CD called: The Princess and the Frog: Tiana and her Princess Friends (the same day as the original "Princess and the Frog" soundtrack)
I wonder if there will be new princess music or it will be like a princess greatest hits.

I actually think the new cover looks a little better. Also, I already have Jim Brickman's CD, so I wouldn't need "Beautiful" again anyway. I'm so glad they're re-releasing this--by the time I found about the original CD, it had already gone out-of-date. I don't really know if it's any good, but I still want to pick it up and give it a chance. :P

Belle's got a green dress. But the one in the original cover is the pink dress, but they changed it to green. I just hate when they do that.

If they wanted Belle to have a green dress, they should’ve used the correct one.

I love the CD, especially Susan Egan's rendition of "The Christmas Waltz". It's sad the Jim Brickman track has been replaced on the reissue because that was a great song as well. :(

And I must say, I do slightly prefer the new cover over the old one - but I won't be running out to replace my copy. 8)

That version isn't the Christmas version of "Beautiful" :)
I like how they change the lyrics to fit the Christmas Season! It's so nice and it fits all together too.

I like the older cover more because I feel more of the Holiday Spirit with the rushed other cover IMO. Yes Belle's dress isn't the right green one, but so what, it's Christmas lol. So they can get away with it. I just want the new track on here and call it a day! :)

however, I do suggest the old CD over the new one, just because of Jim Brickman's song. It really is nice to have. :D

I've heard Wayne Brady singing a Christmas rendition of "Beautiful" with Jim Brickman, and guess what? Wayne Brady is now the host of the new game show "Let's Make a Deal", a remake of a classic originally hosted by Monty Hall.

I made a video for the Christmas version of Beautiful. I am not putting up though until next month. :)

Thanks for the update, Matt. I already have the old version, but I don't think I'll even be getting the new Snow White mp3. The Snow White track and the horrendous Sleeping Beauty track (please...Aurora would never sing about her Prince being cute) are the ones I always skip. I just listened to the sampler on Amazon, hoping that at least maybe this time, it will just be Snow White singing, but the Dwarfs are still chiming in. :/ It's cute, but I like how the other Princesses get to sing by themselves. I love Pocahontas and Mulan's songs. I'm glad they got proper Christmas carols to sing, I wish Ariel did, too, but the songs they made for her make sense since she is a mermaid.

I definitely agree, the older cover was better despite Belle in green. I think the colors balance better with each other though by making Belle green, but with the context of Ariel's songs, you'd think they'd keep her in her fin. I don't like the new cover simply because I've seen that Princess clip-art before on all of their other holiday products (e.g. wrapping paper). And it's too pink.

Ha it was funny that this has been posted, because I was thinking of getting this the other day because I seen it on Play.com for £3.99! I much prefer the older cover!
I love The Little Mermaid and Ariel

Thanks! :D

I added special effects to the original one to make it Christmasy lol. I think it worked out well. :)

@ Kram Nebuer, yeah I know what you mean! I also loved Pocahontas and Mulan's song as well. They were the best IMO. I cannot stand that Paige O'Hara wasn't singing for Belle! Susan isn't a good Belle to me! Not even on broadway but I am sure people will argue with me lol. I think Paige will always and forever be Belle to me. :D

Thank you so much!!!!

Is the version of The Twelve Days Of Christmas in your CD is the one from A Christmas of Enchantment with Paige O'Hara?

If it's not, can you rip it please? I would love to have Paige's Version.

Now you're the best!!! lol

Thank you so much! I love to have the two different versions of The Twelve Days Of Christmas because Belle, Cinderella, Aurora and Snow White are sung by different women.

Wait. I'm confused. There's a version of the song different singers as those voices? *downloads*....
