Beanie Babies

Hehe... ahem. Yes. Dunno what the hell happened here. Little bricabrac bean bag animals going for hundreds (even thousands) of dollars? O_o Though I do admit to owning a few... dozen... myself!
The Japanese Invasion!! ^_^ (<== including those annoying anime smilies!)

The Japanese "pocket monster" fad started infiltrating the U.S. en masse starting about the mid-90's. The "electronic pet" craze began with those damn Tamagotchis, and Pokémon signaled the end of the world as we know it - and no, I do not feel fine.
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

The original - and still the best!! You wouldn't believe how caught up I was in the whole Green Ranger plot! O_O
The Internet

Ah, the net - where would I be without you? Probably outside...
Feh - sunshine's overrated, anyway.
The Simpsons

I stand firmly by the belief that there is not one situation in life that a Homer-ism quote doesn't cover.
Honorable Mentions
Conan O'Brien

He's still going strong, but he got his start in the '90s. He created some of the funniest episodes as a writer and producer on The Simpsons (he did commentary for the 4th Season DVD! w00t!), and that kind of humor still shines through on his show. It's the only show I watch with religious regularity, and he never disappoints.
The Lion King Craze

Like a few others have said - the TLK phenomenon was nuts! I just barely remember seeing it in theatres (I was 10), but I fell head over heels for the dang thing. It was the first film I saw more than once at the theatre, in fact. Wasn't too media-concious at the time, though - I only remember a few newspaper ads in the movie section, and that's pretty much it. Remember - this was before the internet was widespread... LOL
Whew - okay, I'm done. Hehe... this is shaping up to be the next bandwidth-wasting thread, Luke!
