I 100% agree with everything you just said. I'm not going to mention any names but there are always a few certain people who get so extreme and try to push either the Blu-Ray format or the DVD format and it really gets annoying! I do have an HDTV but I currently can't afford a Blu-Ray player, and while it may be a fact that Blu-Ray has its technological advantages, DVD is just as good. Just because the new format came along people feel the need to get so extreme and bash it? That makes no sense, considering 3 or 4 years ago Blu-Ray didn't exist and everyone was buying DVDs - which apparently "suck" now.
Some people love it so much while others may not have the technology or money to upgrade and by default they side with DVD. Just because they have the money and technology to upgrade does not by any means give anyone permission to shove Blu-Ray down DVD supporters' throats. I mean, really? Is it honestly that big of a deal? Just because you're watching a movie in Hi-Def, will that completely change your perception and opinion of a movie that when you first watched it it was (more than likely) NOT in HD? No. It doesn't.

Not to mention the thousands upon thousands of people who got laid off in even just the past year.
