Oh! You meant the Snow White trailer that is found on the Hannah Montana Movie! lol. I was confused and thought you meant what songs were used in the trailer FOR the Hannah Montana Movie. My bad. The music they used is the score from Rudy by Jerry Goldsmith.

Actually there were over 300, Disney closed a lot of them last year when they bought the stores back in May.
Well, ours was lost a good few years ago. I'm beginning to regret it a little.

Deluxe LE Doll + Blu Ray Deal Until Aug 26th!

Post by Mockingbird »

I got this from over at the cheapassgamer.com forums.

Also, get an extra 2% CB from CasBaq or 3% CB from eBates (Thanks to incredipinoy for the heads-up)

A couple steps to get the best deal for this -- which will likely be around $100 after tax and shipping, depending on the state you live in.

2-3 coupon codes will be used for this.

Deal ends August 26 ,2009
--------------------------------------------------------

The package you'll be getting:

All for a little over $100 after shipping and tax.

- Exclusive Limited-Edition Deluxe Snow White Doll - 17'' (retail $99.50) w/ certificate of authenticity, limited to 5,000 worldwide, available only at Disneystore online or retail. (<a href="http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-1190473-106 ... ku=200258P" target="_top">http://www.disneystore.com/new-arrivals ... 3418281</a>
<img src="http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1190473-10676026" width="1" height="1" border="0"/>)

- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Diamond Edition DVD + 2-Disc Blu-ray™ (retail $24.99)(<a href="http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-1190473-10 ... sku=63535P" target="_top">http://www.disneystore.com/disney/store ... ngId=-1</a>
<img src="http://www.lduhtrp.net/image-1190473-10676026" width="1" height="1" border="0"/>)

- $10 off coupon towards a disneyonline.com future purchase.

- a small item from the store that is valued at around $5 -- or $4 off anything else at the disney online store.

- $4.95 standard shipping.

-- The doll will ship when available in Sept. with the blu ray shipping when it releases in Oct.

------------------------------------------

So the coupon codes are:

15% off the purchase of a single item -- RETAIL15 (EXPIRES August 26, 2009)
$5 shipping for orders over $89 (It's actually only $4.95) -- SHIPTODAY
Extra 30% off all last call items -- LASTCALL

-------------------------------------------------

How to do it:

1. So when you add the doll to your cart, the blu ray will automatically be added to your cart with a retail price of 0.00.

2. When you apply the RETAIL15 coupon, 15% will be taken off the doll, brining to total to $84.57. Shipping at this point is 9.95 at best. So you can check out now and and pay $94.52 pre-tax -- OR proceed to step 3 (where you can get a mickey mouse wastebasket for an extra 19 cents!).

3. Add in a small item to bring the total to over $89 and get $4.95 shipping or add any other item and consider it $4.43 off the item you're adding.

An example of a cheap item is:

--- Mickey Mouse Waste Basket (<a href="http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-1190473-106 ... sku=93149P" target="_top">http://www.disneystore.com/disney/store ... ngId=-1</a>
<img src="http://www.lduhtrp.net/image-1190473-10676026" width="1" height="1" border="0"/>)

It's on final clearance for $7.99, but use couponcode LASTCALL to get an extra 35% off, bringing it's price down to $5.19. Now the total pre-tax is $94.71 -- meaning the wastebasket is only 19 cents!! (Though you'll be charged tax on the $5.19)

-------------------------------

SO, here is the final order:

Pre-Order Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Diamond Edition DVD + 2-Disc Blu-ray™ --- $24.99 (actual price = 0.00)
Exclusive Limited-Edition Deluxe Snow White Doll - 17'' -------- $99.50 (actual price = $84.58)
M. Mouse Waste Basket --------- $7.99 (actual price = $5.19)

Purchase Subtotal: $132.48
Purchase Discounts: (-$42.72)
Total Shipping & Handling: $9.95
Shipping Discounts: (-$5.00)
Sales Tax (estimated): $8.30

Total = $103.01

Plus, you'll get a $10 coupon off future purchase at the Disneystore online.
---------------

The deal is pretty decent, if you're looking to resell the doll in the future or want it for yourself. The 15% off coupon expires 8/26/09, but that doesn't mean there won't be another coupon code available some time after.

The B&M Disneystores are also offering a the same package, but you won't get 15% off the doll; however, they are giving away a free lithograph with pre-orders. Not sure if you'll also be getting a $10 coupon though.

Also, www.etoys.com is having a Buy 2 get 1 free sale on all Disney/Pixar DVDs and Blu Rays, w/ free shipping until Aug 29th.

That's a rather nice find. Unfortunately, I'll have to see where my money's at before I can ever spend more than $30 on a movie.

Snow White: Diamond Edition

It sounds a lot like the little books that came with the box sets of The Lion King, Aladdin, and Cinderella.
Actually the web site tells us that the book in the "book only" collector's book set will still relate the history and legacy of the film, in addition to the story the film tells. Also, the books that came with the previous box sets of The Lion King, Aladdin, and Cinderella also had the story the film tells in addition to lots of making of information! It was I think the books of 101 Dalmatians and Jungle Book that only had pictures...and I think that was it!
Disneykid wrote:As much as I love Snow White, I've always marveled at how much more sophisticated and layered Oz is despite a mere two year window. The dialogue in Snow White (especially for Snow herself) is more cloying (though I'll admit Glinda gets on my nerves sometimes), and it handles its emotions more broadly (okay, it's an animated feature made by people who were only experienced in short subjects, but still).
I'm a little surprised! Snow White is supposed to be the purest, sweetest, kindest, most innocent good there can be, more so than the later princesses (at least as they come off) and she's also a child, younger than the later princesses at probably 14. Sometimes I wonder if this is the reason Snow White is fairest one of all, though, like you, I don't think she seems perfectly good when suspecting the dwarfs of not washing up, she seems sarcastic, and she wasn't going to give them supper! So, I guess she still had a bit of natural, normalcy for a person. I still wish she said "perhaps you have washed" less evilly and was kiner in asking to see their hands, and maybe she could have said "I won't let you eat with dirty hands, it's bad for you" instead of just demanding. But hey, at least she was demanding and taking control for the feminists... Plus, like I said, it makes her more natural, and I guess more rounded, so it could make the audience care more for her because she is a fuller person who could even be seen as funny in demanding the dwarfs.

Probably after the release? I really hope so, as the book probably won't come out here.

By the way, Deco King! You made a normal post!

Snow White Blu Ray Ultimate Disney Forum Readers Verdict???

Post by Deco King »

Speaking as a Snow White-Oholic who lives in the UK ( where we don't get this release until November 2nd 2009 !!! ) and who hasn't got a Multi Region Blu Ray player as yet !!!

What do other Ultimate Disney Forum readers and posters think of their new Snow White Blu Ray??? Thus far it seems to have almost universally excellent reviews from most reviews that I have read.

From what I read, it is NOT the definitive Snow White set due to some missing extras that were in the Platinum DVD. That's all I can offer.

I heard most of the old bonus material was left off due to it being redundant because of new extras. I don't know if that's true or not. It still seems like an impressive package to me. There were some things left off the first dvd from the Laserdisc as well and I didn't hear anybody then.
I also think it's about how the film looks, first and foremost. And seeing that even Marky hasn't complained about it, it seems like a good deal to me :D .

Import the aussie release! it is the same region as UK (B).

my thoughts: compared to the DVD the difference in video quality isn't amazing but it's there. The menus are cool but somewhat difficult compared to SB/Pinocchio. Hyperion Studios is cool but again a little difficult to use unless you just watch it off the index.

I'd honestly prefer a more traditional 'backstage disney' approach but they purposely decided to take advantage of blu-ray (which is why none of this appears on the DVD).

I agree with this. It's nowhere near as ridiculous as, say, "The Lion King" DVD menus, but I still found it somewhat difficult to make my way through.

On the whole, it's a very nice Blu-ray, but the lack of certain past bonus materials is really absurd. Some of them ARE irrelevant on this release, I imagine, but why the Witch at the cauldron was not included baffles me.

Well, this release is by far the best since the Platinum Edition, but as said, missing a few extras from the PE. I believe when the 80th Anniversary comes, Disney will prep up a definitive DVD and Blu-Ray so ingenius, so impressive, so loaded with every single extra (old and new) it will put the Diamond Edition to shame.

It's fine for what it is...really the bonus features that were missing from the last wont be missed.

I think the Diamond Edition is the best they've done so far, out of any of the Platinum Editions. Yes, stuff was left off from the Platinum Edition, but a lot of that material is actually expanded upon in the Hyperion Studios feature, which is quite immersive. I would keep your Platinum Edition in addition to the Diamond Edition, but I have to say that the Diamond Edition is way better, and I didn't think that was possible.

On the contrary, the deleted scenes that are missing are missed very much by many people already.

I also heard that this has an even shorter documentary than the previous one had! Still, it has a huge amount of new good stuff, not to mention the wonderful restoration, which is more faithful to the original than certain other restorations, keeping brush strokes and such, so it looks less drastically different from how it was before than other ones, and that's a good thing!

Just make sure you keep your Platinums, but of course you would Deco. And you would buy this anyway, wouldn't you?

This is your favorite film in high-definition, get the best Blu-ray, import it if you have to, or better yet, get the big red Limited Edition Gift Set! You are one of this film's biggest fans!

The blu ray disc is superlative. The carping over some old features is silly - you want the old stuff, hang on to your old discs. You want new features, including an exceptional look at the old Hyperion lot? Get the new Blu Ray. Case closed.

I so disagree with CambellzSoup and the other post by Rudy Matt that says Case Closed ! What total garbage case closed indeed.

The Witch at The Cauldron is a major deleted scene genuinely adding to , and underlining the real nastiness of The Wicked Queen/Witch with lines such as " Death within thy depths I see for one who dares to rival me brew thy magic recipe!! Boil cauldron boil!! " - and instead we get Tiffany Thornton - some five minute wonder - singing an excreable version of a classic Disney song which pales into total insignificance beside Barbra Streisand's classic cover version on the last DVD release!!

I've said it before and I will say it again.
There is NO POINT in them porting over all of the special features from past releases.
If you have the Platinum Edition, keep it, you still have 'The Witch At The Cauldron' deleted scene that you so desperately need.
If you don't have it, pick it up used somewhere.
I'm getting so tired of everyone complaining that they left stuff out.
You have to change discs to watch the bonus features anyway and if they included everything from the Platinum it would have needed a third disc,
so why does it matter if you have to open a different case to get at the disc with that particular feature.
