Surrogates
Has anyone read the comic series this movie is based on or checked out the website ChooseYourSurrogate.com? I'm on the site now and it's pretty intriguing so looking forward to checking out the movie in the fall!

Heh, I guess you haven't read the comics. Here's a little synopsis of the movie: FBI agents investigate a murder linked to a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to experience life vicariously through idealized robotic versions of themselves. Sounds pretty intriguing, if you ask me. The movie stars Mr. action-man Bruce Willis so that's already got me sold!

Yeah, the story does sound pretty complicated! That's why I was wondering if anyone ever read the Robert Vendetti comics - I just might have to myself, so intrigued am I
The movie was previewed at New York Comic Con at the beginning of the month, so we should see a trailer soon hopefully!
So far, there is this image that's out: http://www.allmoviephoto.com/photo/2009 ... s_001.html

I haven't heard much about this movie for awhile, but I did come across this teaser poster today. It's actually for the viral website where you create your own version of yourself (i.e. a Surrogate) and not exactly for the movie. But it's still something to look at - at least the website is! It's kinda renewed my interest for the movie. Hopefully the trailer follows soon!

Sorry, jimdotdeep! This movie is kind of confusing, but it's a Bruce Willis action movie based on a comic book called "The Surrogates" - I posted the synopsis above!
Disney's been pretty subtle with its marketing for this movie - probably why you haven't heard much about it - because they're actually promoting the movie via this viral website called ChooseYourSurrogate.com, which is supposed to be the company in the book/movie where you can build your own surrogate.
I hope all that made sense! Once the actual trailer comes out, I'm sure it'll all come together. It is complicated, but I'm determined to figure it all out by the movie comes out!

It looks pretty interesting. I probably won't see it in the theater or anything; maybe when it comes on TV I'll see it. But neat concept.

Thanks for posting that! Yeah, I saw the trailer before Terminator Salvation and was pretty pleased with it. It was pretty cool to finally visualize the whole world of the surrogates. I find the concept really interesting, and I really like Bruce Willis so I'm def checking this movie out in the fall.

Just wanted to update ya'll with the poster for this, featuring Bruce Willis:

Love that pic of him - I would definitely want him on my side if I were battling surrogates (or those that kills them)!

Some more images from the movie too here: http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=28357
The whole look/feel of the movie is kinda creepy - but I guess that's what they are going for. Intriguing indeed!

LOL - no problem
Well since that hair is on his surrogate, that's probably what his character (Det. Greer) assumed to be his "perfect" hair, lol, because you get to create your own surrogate.
Did you notice Ving Rhames in those pics? Unrecognizable with all those dreadlocks - he looks like "The Prophet" to me, haha.

A new trailer just came out today: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=59020
I thought the first one was pretty good, but I like this one MUCH better. Love the whole feel of it - looks really slick.

Anybody get a chance to check this movie out? And if so, what did you think? I heard it was an entertaining sci-fi movie and the story was really interesting.
