New ultimatedisney.com Countdown - Disney Songs

[Luke]

Last fall we did an <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/countdown/" target="ac">Animated Classics Countdown</a> and earlier this year a <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/countdown2/">Live Action Films</a>. Now, for the third site countdown, we'll be doing Disney Songs.

<b>What is considered a Disney song?</b>

Any song with lyrics that is heard in any of Disney's theatrical (animated or live action) or direct-to-video films that are listed on this site. Songs do not have to be performed by characters in the movie, but ideally, should be written for the movie.

The process for voting will be a bit different because there's so many to choose from. We will compile a list of songs that are Eligible for Consideration. I'm thinking the list could consist of 100, maybe a bit more or less, depending on how things go. From here, we'll engage in a different voting process to come up with the Top 50 or so Disney songs.

For now, every forum member is able to <b>Nominate</b> 10 songs, <b>Second</b> 10 songs, and <b>Third</b> 10 different songs. 30 songs in total.

The process is this:
A song is <b>nominated</b> by someone in their list of 10 or less.
Someone else may <b>second</b> the song in their list of 10 seconds.
Someone else may <b>third</b> the song that has already been seconded with one of their 10 thirds. A "thirded" song then enters the master list.

Obviously, you cannot Second your own nominations, or Third the songs you seconded.

<b>BEFORE POSTING, *PLEASE* look at what is already IN, NOMINATED, or SECONDED, so that you do not repeat.</b>

<b>When nominating a song, please include the song title and the Disney movie from which it comes.</b> I will be composing a list of songs that are in competition, and those which have been nominated or seconded and are awaiting further action to be placed in the master song pool.
