At my Target, the HM: The Movie & PD DVDs did not have the $6 off sticker, so printing the $5 off coupon from Disney Movie Rewards is the best bet. With tax, mine came to $31.19.

I'm watching the commentary right now and I have to say that Disney really impressed me with the bonus features on this release. The Blu-Ray Exclusive Hoedown Throwdown features were very entertaining. The first part was all of the stars learning and goofing off with the dance and it was very funny. Find Your Way Back Home was very well done as well. Even if you don't like Miley or Emily, it's still a neat tour of Nashville and L.A. I Should Have Gone To Film School is my favorite bonus feature on the set and I learned a lot. I had no idea what a Best Boy did, but I had always wondered. The only bonus feature I didn't care for was the excess of music videos. With the exception of 2 of them, they are basically just that part of the film replayed. I was also really impressed with one of the two new BD-Live features. It's a link to Radio Disney, where you can listen to the live broadcast where you can get lyrics to the song playing. There is also a Country Store BD-Live feature, which is pretty useless. You watch the film and as items in the film pop up, you can add them to your "shopping cart", which gets emailed to you so you can buy Hannah Montana related products or items used in the film online.

I did this as well. I am glad I did. However, the dummy behind the register was giving me a hard time about the coupon. She couldn't read that the bottom of the Blu-ray stated "Deluxe Edition" She thought it was for the DVD version. HELLO! It had a COLORED pictured of the Blu-ray Disc lol. In the end I got the whole deal and I am giving her a horrible survey rating LOL. Even my 10yr old niece pointed it out to her!

So far I think the best deal I've found for this movie is at Wal Mart. $15.99 for the standard barebones DVD, $19.99 for the 2-Disc SE DVD, and $24.96 for the Blu-Ray. I know the prices for the barebones DVD and the Blu-Ray are generally the same everywhere else, but I thought the 2-Disc DVD's low price was worth mentioning here, just in case anyone wanted to pick that one up.

For those of you on the fence about buying this - I just want to reiterate that this movie is M U C H better than the Hannah Montana TV series. I have little to no interest in sitting down and watching the TV show. I watched this movie not once, not twice, but three times last night and I am a 32 year old woman! I am paying the price for it now at work because I'm exhausted from staying up so late.
Once you get past the first 10 minutes or so, the movie drags you in and keeps you hanging on laughing and tearing at your emotions until the end. I think the scene where Miley and her dad are singing the duet is priceless. How awesome that the both of them have so much talent.

I am so with you on this. "Hannah Montana The Movie" is awesome, and after the opening sequences it drags you in tooth and nail, and you are hooked all the way to the end. I cannot say the same for the TV series, but it really is made for the 'tweeners' amongst us.

I will say that I am 70, and I also watched it twice last night and just finished it again this morning, and watched all the special features. The 'Hoedown Throwdown' special feature is awesome and I really enjoyed watching my five year old grandson and my seven year old granddaughter trying to dance along with everyone in that feature. Good choice for the music videos and I also bought the Collector's Edition of the Blu-Ray, which has the regular DVD copy and the Digital Copy.

I just rented the movie and I agree that it is MUCH better than the TV show. The plot is more fleshed, the consequences of having two personas are truly shown in a convincing and dramatic manner and the personalities are more grounded in reality than the TV.

I, however, have ONE huge issue with the movie, and it deals with the ending...

HOW in the hell do I expect to believe that the whole town of Tennessee will keep Miley's Hannah Montana personality a secret? Really, in an age in which every phone allows people to send pictures and text messages in an instant I doubt something like this could happen in real life. I know that this is a Disney film, but considering the whole film is about rock star privacy I seriously doubt no one took out their celphones and took a picture of wigless Hannah for the whole world to see

Other than this good movie!

People who have these obsessions with cell phones are, as a rule, the most rude people around.

I can't stand people who drive a car with a cell phone in their ear, and people who bring a cell phone to a movie theater. If you can't do without your phone (unless you are a doctor or on-call nurse) for a couple of hours then you shouldn't go to the movies.

I apologize for the rant, but I hate cell phones and people who can't follow the rules about their use.

Yes, I own a celphone. But I don't talk while I am driving, I turn off my celphone at the movies or at important events where silence is required and I DEFINITELY don't send text messages. I find them to be a chore and I do prefer telling people stuff face to face. Sorry, but you are off there.

As for the movie, PLEASE everyone listen to me...

I KNOW ITS A FREAKING MOVIE! I KNOW that Hannah Montana is based on an unrealistic concept that requires you to suspend your belief in order to enjoy it. I know, I know, I KNOW its a Disney film...

Still, I believe that just because your movie is fantastical is doesn't mean that you can get away from logical things.

Hear me out on this. We live in an era where the minute a celebrity does something its already on YouTube. It could be Paris Hilton falling down and there's already 10 videos of it on YouTube. So I expect a moment in which the artists reveals something important (like her true self) WOULD get a lot of coverage and I am sure people would talk about it and eventually reach news outlets.

So I find it impossible to accept that when Miley reveals she is Hannah in front of HUNDREDS of people everyone agreed to keep the secret and that no one took photos of it or talked about it to their friends, especially since they witnessed a major revelation.

I understand, however, that some of you WILL accept it. That's fine. Movies are a personal experience. It is defined by the person and its up to the person to accept what happens. If I person doesn't want to accept something then fine. If you want to accept the movie's ending fine. I won't argue that. If I don't want to accept it that shouldn't be an issue, especially since I said the movie was good, at times great.

Its just an issue with continuity, especially since the TV show was still going, and having an ending that pretty much ENDS the whole franchise would cause severe continuity issues.

First of all I'd like to say I am a male about to turn 50. I am also a big Disney fan. Now to Hannah Montana. I love her show because it's clean silly fun like the comedies from the 70's. A great show! I went to see "The Hannah Montana Movie" because of my love for the show. It was awesome!!! I loved it so much that I bought a Blu Ray copy & a DVD copy (to show friends without Blu Ray players). Yes, there are elements of silliness but that is a part of Hannah Montana. What's most impressive about this movie is that it shows a more sensitive & human side of Miley / Hannah. It's also great to see their world widen beyond their home, stage & school. The music is top notch too! If there is any doubts about Miley's vocal ability, it is my strong opinion that her performance of "The Climb" has squashed those doubts to nothingness! Highly highly recommended!!!

Thanks for the concern but I consider the standard DVD that came with the Blu Ray as part of the "set". I want to keep my "set" home & share the secondary DVD. I don't usually do this because I just pass along my opinions & hope people buy or don't buy. This Hannah Montana movie is a rare exception. I insist people see this one.
