UK Treasures announced! With Tins!

Well, like normal it was left late enough. But I suppose it means no more slipped release dates.

Plus the UK does get the tins! Look like no Limited Edition numbering though.
The discs include classic Mickey shorts, which many older Disney fans will remember and treasure - including the jewel Steamboat Willie where Mickey made his first ever appearance, The Band Concert and Mickey's Fire Brigade.
Apparently Mickey Mouse in Living Colour will feature a black and white short? Another Disney UK PR Disaster!
Mickey in Living Colour features coveted deleted scenes including a deleted animation sequence from The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Oh dear. It gets worse.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I can't grasp the concept of putting black and white cartoons on a 'Mickey in Colour' release. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Got very excited about the tins though :D

I think its a mistake. None of the other European releases have the black and white cartoons.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Well, we won't know for sure until the discs are out, but my money is on the press release being wrong. I can't see Britain getting a different release from other PAL R2 countries who already have the sets available.

Resisting tempation to send a bomb to BVUK for their constant mistakes BUT at least we do have a press release for once.

I hope they don't blow this release, I think even a cheap looking TV advert (shots of the cartoons and then the box art) would bump sales up a bit.

Do we know if there's gonna be any subtitles or captions on these sets ? Or even other tracks that English ?

It is entirely possible that this will be on the MMILC2 DVD in the US.

Still, doesn't sounds like it is worth buying a whole new set just for a single extra. I imagine the Aussie releases will be somewhat similar...

So the R2 MMILC is basically a compilation of the MM B&W+ILC in R1??

Also, the SS R2 is just like the R1 but with the stereotype 100% uncensored, am I right?

Personally I think the press release is wrong. It states the number of cartoons and the years at the top of the press release that matches the R1 set.
Mickey in Living Colour chronicles Mickey Mouse's career with 26 original shorts released between 1935 and 1938

Plus looking at the BBFC Vol 1 and Vol 2 of Mickey Mouse in Living Colour have been passed. I doubt the sourcerer's Apprentice will be on the first volume. It is also illogical to think Steamboat Willie, a black and white short will be on the "colour" set.

Some countries in Europe have already got the MMILC set and it matches the R1 set. I cannot see Disney UK making special discs with different content just for the UK.

It would be impossible to collect the various R1 sets together (vol 1 has a run-time of 4 1/2 hours) and combine them for a run time of only 5 hours (as stated in the PR).

The most logical explanation is the UK PR is wrong. Especially when you consider all the other PR problems UK Disney has.

I wasn't suggestion it was BOTH combined but maybe a bit from here and a bit from there. But like you said it's probably an error.

K, another question. On R1, two cartoons have some censorship regarding the sound. Are they the same on R2 discs?
